  1. Israel did very well without US support until 1971, that is when the US became basically an ally of Israel. How well did the Arabs do with Soviet support? Also, Israel gained its nuclear weapons totally without US knowledge and support. You are not thinking.

  2. The Houthis are Iranian-backed and funded. Selling weapons to country X does not equal backing, which is full support in this context. Without Iran, the Houthis could not launch any missiles, nor would they do this without Iranian permission. The US does not fully back Israel currently. The administration is hamstringing Israel regarding Gaza.
