  1. I don't see how one gets to the x8 or x10 body count to defeat Russia. Ukraine had a population of 43 million v. 140 million Russians, that's about 4:1, not what was stated. The Russian Army from 1943 on was a quality force and largely well led. They pulled off complex maneuvers and large-scale encirclements of the Germans and though continued to lose a massive amount men and material it is incorrect to say that the Russians are always badly led and poorly equipped. Also, the force that captured Afghanistan, did so with Elan and panache.
