@humbull That's not how it works. You make a claim, you are required to back it up. Not tell others to "look it up for themselves" I want to know YOUR sources. Only way to have a logical debate. Oh wait, most people don't know how to do that anymore.

@IcyBird420 Cool, I did. Space exploration is needed, not some Alphabet agenda Sesame Street show in Iraq.

NASA doesn't build rockets. It contracts them out. Apollo first flight was a failure, Shuttle was rushed and both Challenger and Columbia proved it, as well as being extremely risky time and time again. Your ignorance of how things work shows in your comment.

@Derideo So who cares about space? Who cares about learning more about where we are? I'm sure you're one of those that wants to bash DOGE and others for finding the waste of projects like those at USAID and shutting down those idiotic projects.

How so? This is exactly what testing is for.

@danielnavarro9807 No one is taking money from social security or health care, nutcase.

@ Can't handle what he's saying? He's saying erroneous statements parroted by people who believe what the garbage media is telling them to believe. And yes, using that many emotes makes the writer immediately lose credibility and show that they are not a source I'd trust for any facts.

@chikushodiz91 No one cut corners. Where are you getting this info?

@packardroundtree6971 And? So technology can never advance and we can never test new rockets because we had one that worked, was inefficient, and cost overall more per flight? Yeah, that makes tons of sense.
1
@AirDOGGe Of course he was hoping it would be a success. Everyone who is testing something hopes that it will work, but failures also show us where more work is needed. Are you successful at everything you do first time? If so, maybe you should build a rocket and go for it.

@nicovalentine5353 To accomplish what NASA has?? NASA has build a rocket that can colonize Mars? NASA has built a rocket that can return and be reused? Oh wait, let's go even more simple... NASA has built a rocket? Oh yeah, they DON'T. They contract it out, just like they are doing with SpaceX. Lockheed Martin and Boeing primarily in the case of the Shuttle program via the United Space Alliance company those two formed together. The Saturn series of rockets was manufactured by Boeing, North American Aviation, and Douglas. So again, what is the point of all of this? Testing new rockets, just like they had to do back then. I'm more likely to ask what the point of your comment was since it seems fairly obvious what the point of all of this is, except maybe to you.

Would be easy for him. Can you say the same?

@danielnavarro9807 Took from where? I can't wait to hear this.
1
@humbull Yes, we have NASA, which is contracted via SpaceX to build rockets for them, just as they previously contracted with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Aviation, Douglas, Etc. NASA does not build rockets, it contracts them out, always has. Learn some history.
