  1. Some of this is just wrong or not logical. Aiming all 8 MIRVs from the trident at the same target negates the entire benefit of the MIRV package. Plus, the calculations are wrong as to the destructiveness as the explosions would not truly release their entire power as the blast pressure waves would cancel each other out as they met in the center, decreasing the overall effectiveness. In order to truly get the maximum destructive power from the MIRV, you would split the warheads so that they struck close enough to hit the intended target area, but far enough apart that one or even a few last-ditch missile defenses cannot take out all warheads with a single blast.
