Understandable since Singapore's fertility rate is below replacement level, like China. That's why the Singaporean government has allowed strict, regulated and limited immigration which favours migrants from Malaysia, China (inc. Hong Kong) and India due to ethnic similarities but there has been rising resentment from Singaporeans towards immigrants. Hard to please everybody especially since the fertility rates for the local Singaporean Chinese and Indian communities are below 0.

@sasukespride8922 The reason why China and India have such big populations is because people didn't leave en masse in the way Europeans did during the era of colonisation. The lands of China and India were fertile and were able to maintain a human civilisation that did not face collapse, so their populations grew. European countries were also able to maintain this and their populations grew but when European nations began exploring and colonising other parts of the world it provided more land for Europeans to settle on. This allowed for the dispersal of European people who continued to have children and create new generations in the new lands they lived on (especially the lands of North and South America, Australia and New Zealand).

They don't need a three child policy. Their fertility rate is 2, that's the replacement level and the level that is expected for a population to be sustained.

No, it's because they need people for an economy to function. Without people, you have no economy.

1. East Asia doesn't need to accept immigration if they don't want to 2. Japan and Korea already accept temporary immigrants from other parts of Asia like India but most come from other areas like Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines. They are temporary migrants who eventually leave. 3. Japan and Korea have their policies in place that allow blue collar and white collar workers from other parts of Asia to work temporarily in their countries. This is due to cultural compatibility so if you look at the bilateral agreements that Japan and Korea sign with other Asian countries, the furthest west they go is India or Kazakhstan. They don't go further because they know that even though immigration is controversial, the most suitable option is to allow people who are most culturally compatibile to temporarily work in the country. They know that other Asians are the type to look down and do their work without making a scene so it's easier for employers and for the society in general. That's why most foreigners in Korea and Japan are foreign Asians. The same thing applies to the rest of Asia which accepts temporary immigration.
