100% agree, anybody that has studied population genomics will know how meaningless "race" is. There are four broad ancestral groups: East Eurasian, West Eurasian, West/East African and Khoisan. Everybody in the world today descends from one or more of these populations (which can be broke down into several different genetic lineages). So the idea that people can be divided into "races" makes no sense because people like Tamils and Native Americans for example carry both West Eurasian and East Eurasian genetic markers whilst Malagasy carry East Eurasian and West/East African genetic markers and Arabs carry West Eurasian genetic makers and Aboriginal Australians carry East Eurasian genetic markers. It just shows how widespread these four ancestral lineages are in the world that "race" makes no sense. Ethnicity which is defined by DNA, culture and language makes way more sense. In Asia, it seems people will identify by both nationality and ethnicity but in the West, especially in the US, people like to define themselves through "race" (which makes no sense).

@Nom_AnorVSJedi What??? Malaysia and India are two different nations. The BJP and whatever you're talking about has nothing to do with Malaysia.
9
@omi4470 Of course you don't, so typical of you 💀
7
How is the latter weird??? t's actually become more common in Singapore since 2011. There's a very famous Singaporean couple who is composed of a Chinese guy and an Indian girl.
7
Singaporeans as a whole are more open to interracial marriage compared to other Asians. Singaporean-Chinese, Singaporean-Indians and Singaporean-Malays are more open, especially the former two who don't have religious restrictions. This is different to the US where you are from which is home to East and South Asian immigrants that have come directly from places like China and India.

@ It's not a race. Sikhs are sometimes considered separate from other Indians (Tamils and Malayalis) in Singapore and Malaysia.
4
You visited Singapore, you don't live there. So you can't just base your short experience on what actually goes on in Singapore.
4
It's about Singaporeans, why would Malaysians be interviewed?
3
Also, this is literally about Singapore. Your stereotypes about Indian men or whatnot don't apply in Singapore where everybody speaks English.
3
@UnlimitedWere How is that even comparable? India is an artificial nation, it's made up of many different ethnic groups. A Tamil is genetically closer to a Maldivian than they are to a Punjabi from North India. They are all different ethnically speaking.
2
@UnlimitedWere Race is a flawed construct but what you are referring to can be described as "South Asian" which broadly covers other nations close to India.
2
If you're wondering, most Singaporean-Indians have dark skin like the girl in the video. There's a famous Singaporean influencer who is in an interracial relationship, she has really dark skin too and is beautiful and of Indian descent. I can't remember her name though.

@Jtnn713 WRONG
2
Talks about "race" but mentions a bunch of stuff related to culture lol
2
I don't hear it

@ There is nothing wrong with being gay or transexual. Maybe Jehovah Witness people need to start showing more compassion. Complaining about one thing but then demanding others be discriminated against. Yes, the whole of Asia needs to prevent such people from becoming a force on the continent. They are culturally incompatible with Asian cultures.
1
@Jtnn713 Where are you from?? Eat Asian success has nothing to do with race, maybe if you actually understood the cultural values that make a person a person, you'd understand this but I can't expect much from a raging incel that hates Indian men and thinks that Indian men speak about Chindian marriages to make themselves feel better. Oh my days, Western incel detected.
1
@Jtnn713 No race has NOTHING to do with it! You just mentioned a set of factors that correlate to culture, not race. Oh my days, these incels need to get educated ASAP
1
@ It's actually you sounds that way. This man said race is the defining factor and yet it mentioned a bunch of aspects that are correlated to culture (something anybody can adopt) rather than race. No, nothing you said is correct. You're a Westerner probably of East Asian descent. F off
1
@Jtnn713 No it doesn't! Everything you mentioned is determined by culture, not race. Gosh, these people are so...
1
@ The man doesn't know the difference between race and culture, everything that was mentioned is correlated to culture not race. Must be a white person
1
@Jtnn713 Don't you dare call me dumb when you don't even know the difference between culture and "race"
1
@Jtnn713 Make themselves feel better??? What incel stuff did I just read? You are an incel
1
@ The couple is correct and nobody says that to make themselves feel better. What type of incel BS did I just read?
1
@Jtnn713 We just came across a raging Chinese supremacist that hates Indians and Malays.
