@RustedRevolt Why would they want to go there? Gulf Arab countries look down on Southeast Asians (except for Singaporeans). Also, this literally has nothing to do with Islam because at the end of the day, the form of Islam practice by Rohingyas is different to what is practiced by Arabs. I'm also pretty sure Rohingyas practice a Sufi-influenced form of Islam, which is literally "blasphemous" to Arab Muslims.

@chan6565 ...and? Gulf Arab nations don't care about that. If they can't even support their own flesh and blood in Palestine, Syria and Iraq - who are all Arabs, what makes you think they're going to show support to a culturally distant and ethnically different group of people all the way from an isolated Southeast Asian country?

@chan6565 Also, pretty sure Rohingyas aren't thinking of Gulf Arab nations or the Middle East in general as the place they wish to settle in. Many move to Australia and Rohingya refugees seem to gravitate to suburbs with large Southeast Asian populations. In my city, most Rohingyas reside in a suburb that has a Southeast Asian majority (Vietnamese, Cambodian etc.) + a large Chinese population and when I visit that suburb I can see how Rohingya refugees feel at home there. Burmese cuisine shares similarities to both Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisine so they're able to find all the suitable groceries they need from the Asian supermarkets and the Vietnamese-run clothing stores sell Southeast Asian-style hijabs that are worn by Burmese Muslims/Rohingyas. I see them congregate at the bubble tea shops and they own restaurants that sell Burmese food. They may be Muslims but they're culturally Southeast Asian.

That was ARSA, not average Rohingya civilians. Most of these Rohingya refugees are women and children and FYI, Rohingya Hindus exist.

Except for China (Myanmar's other neighbour). That's because China is pulling the strings and supporting the Burmese military. That's why Karen people are now being targeted and crossing over into Thailand.
