  1.  @David_Camerwrongun  You have to try. They tried. You don't just sit around and wait for things to happen. You get up and you try even if that results in failure, then you learn from that failure. How are you supposed to know what will happen if you don't try? I can tell there are people amongst us who will be more willing to sit down and suffer if we suffered something like Sri Lanka instead of trying to get up and try and change things for the better based on some of the comments I have seen.

  2. The blatant racism. Firstly, SCMP is Hong Kong-based and they present themselves as Hong Kongers. Secondly, the Rajapaksas are to blame for everything. Their economic mismanagement, prematurely banning fertilisers and stealing the people's money. They apparently found US$17 million dollars stolen by the Rajapaksas from the Sri Lankan people.

  5. That's because they didn't have fertilisers after the government prematurely banned it. All of their crops like rice died.

  6. Poaching is not what you need to worry about. What you need to worry about is the lack of kind strangers who always leave food out for the birds, stray dogs and other animals who will now get nothing because there's no more food left.
