@peterpaullee9952 The Burmese military committed the genocide, it has nothing to do with Burmese Buddhists and Muslims. It has nothing to do with religion. There were Burmese Muslims who didn't support the Rohingyas. The thing is a lot of people nowadays are realising that they should have supported the Rohingyas because the common enemy of the people is the Burmese military.

The military committed the genocide, not Aung San Suu Kyi.

@wildturtle126 The genocide against the Rohingyas. Everybody knows and there are people in Myanmar who have awoken to the truth. The thing is, Aung San Suu Kyi is not to blame. The Burmese military is the one who committed the genocide and they are the ones currently wrecking havoc in Myanmar by taking over the country's government in full once again. The military is to blame for everything.

@Papabuonair ...because with the Tatmadaw steering the ship, China will know that there will be nothing stopping them from fulfilling their projects in the country. Under Aung San Suu Kyi, certain Chinese projects weren't even progressing like the dam project. However, under the Tatmadaw, China will know that they will easily be able to start and execute all of the projects that they want to undertake in the country. China wants to use Myanmar as its gateway to the Bay of Bengal and the broader Indian Ocean. China will have no trouble fulfilling this now, especially considering the fact that the Tatmadaw has been engaged in fresh armed warfare with the Rakhine people since last year in an area of the nation where these Chinese projects will be situated in.

@Papabuonair ...and the widespread belief is that China is the one backing the military and if you look at everything that has happened in the past 10 years in the country you will understand why a lot of Burmese people think that China is backing the military with full force. It makes sense.
1
@Papabuonair Firstly, China is one of the main suppliers of the Burmese military. It's the closest ally the Burmese military has. Secondly, Myanmar is part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Thirdly, China is interested in making Myanmar the country's gateway to the Indian Ocean. Myanmar is supposed to be located on the alternate land route that skips the Strait of Malacca trade route. This will be established through the economic corridor. There are major investment projects in the country which have faced resistance in ethnic minority regions where the military is engaged in fighting. Finally, the Burmese military never ceded power completely. They made Aung San Suu Kyi the de facto leader of the country but they still held a sizeable portion of the seats in the parliament. With the military in total power, the CCP has the ability to deepen its ties with the country. So far, China has not criticised the coup and has refused to condemn the military at the UN Security Council.

@Sumonvideos5448 THE BURMESE MILITARY COMMITTED THE GENOCIDE. WHY WOULD YOU SUPPORT THEM?
1
@Sumonvideos5448 Have you thought that maybe Aung San Suu Kyi couldn't actually do much as the de factor leader? I think it's pretty clear now considering that she and the rest of the government was detained and removed from their positions. She was nothing more than a puppet of the Burmese military.

@khantzawhtet6896 Just because China calls everybody that criticises the Chinese government, "racist" doesn't mean it's racism. It's not. China is causing too much destruction in the Asian and Pacific regions, they need to be called out.

@msrahman5736 The military committed the genocide against the Rohingyas. If you don't know, the military staged a coup in the nation two weeks ago.
1
@peterpaullee9952 Yes, you're right and it's terrible. An entire rewiring of the brain needs to occur to understand that the Rohingyas deserve respect. There are Burmese people who have done so much to bring awareness to the plight of the Rohingyas though. Maung Zarni is an example. He has for years been an activist for Rohingyas and has been vocal and critical of Myanmar's historical and current treatment of Rohingyas. There were also the two Burmese Reuters reporters who put their lives on the line to report on the genocide that was occurring against the Rohingyas.
