@buceoApulmon Thai people are not Chinese. This is like saying we're all Africans. That Tai-speaking population migrated south from Yunnan in what is now China to Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia and Northeast India and they intermixed with the local groups that already lived there. The Tai that went to Thailand mixed with the Khmer, Mon, Maniq, Hoabinhian, Malay and South Indians. That's why northern Thai look more similar and are more genetically related to the Dai (Chinese Tai) people of Yunnan, whereas southern Thai have more Malay and Indian genetic admixture, while eastern Thai have more Khmer admixture and so on. All of these groups are Thai though, speak Thai, practice Thai culture and have Tai-speaking ancestors.

@buceoApulmon They are not "black". "Black" is a Western construct to describe people from Africa, not Asians. The native people of Thailand (e.g. Maniq) are East Eurasian and thus genetically related to the Tai-speaking people that settled in Thailand thousands of years ago. Maniq, Mon, Khmer and Tai-speaking people are live in the area that is now Thailand. All of these groups are 100% East Eurasian and thus genetically related to other Southeast Asians, East Asians, indigenous South Asians (AASI), Native Americans and Oceanians.

If you go around developing Asia (especially tropical Asia) like Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Laos, you will find plenty of newer young Chinese immigrants that have settled in these countries and have opened up shops and businesses. They really enjoy their new lives and like the slower pace of living. They also enjoy the fact that they don't face overt Sinophobia (which is what many news articles on the new Chinese migration have mentioned). China is now the dominant power in the Asian region and these new Chinese immigrants will be able to bring the Asian nations closer together amid turmoil in the world.

@ Territorial disputes don't define the relations of entire nations. Fact of the matter is that Vietnam and the Philippines are both Asian nations and have a lot in common with China (especially Vietnam). More people in Asia want to cooperate with other Asians and US democracy is no longer seen as a model. Asia for Asians
