Firstly, why should she change her appearance? Secondly, those products are very clearly developed for Asian, especially East Asian skin types. Japanese are already quite fair and the ones who are more tan are not what you would describe as "dark". A dark skinned person will be using that product for an entire lifetime for it to have any sort of effect.
