@archonmarch3965 That is culture. Full stop. Ever heard of cultural diffusion? Chili peppers may have originated in the Americans but they are firmly part of the culinary cultures of South and Southeast Asia. Christianity didn't originate in Europe yet it's an integral part of the religious heritage of Europeans, whether Christian or non-Christian. Bamar Muslims and Bamar Buddhists are culturally similar. I have no idea why you are responding like this. What is it that you don't like?
1
@archonmarch3965 She was the de factor leader of Myanmar, aka the de facto head of state in the country. It doesn't matter how you feel about her, she was out there representing Myanmar at international forums because she was the de facto leader of the country. Extend the same courtesy to you? I haven't been rude to you. This also has nothing to do with the West so if you think a Western person's opinion on this is lesser than yours because you don't live in the West, then you're wrong.

No offence but nobody is going to obsess over a country like Qatar or any of those Arab Gulf states. They haven't built themselves up in the way South Korea or Singapore or any of those nations have for anybody to have respect for them. They extracted oil, sold it and got blue and white collar workers from all over Asia, Africa and the West to do everything for them. Not to mention a multitude of other reasons as to why they have such a negative perception on the global stage. The only time I have ever seen such universal negative remarks directed towards a country, it has always been towards a Gulf nation. I am yet to see a single positive comment about any of those nations. The closest I have seen are defenders of Arab Gulf states who all happen to be from other Arabic-speaking Muslim-majority nations but that doesn't count at all.

@ragglefraggle9111 India becoming number 1 is not because of extreme population growth, they will reach number 1 because of China's rapid fertility decline. India now has a below replacement level fertility at a rate of 2 nationally with their urban fertility (which is where living standards are the best) at 1.6.

1
@2KSnSLifestyle That's why they need to focus on lifting living standards instead of discriminating against minorities, pandering to Hindutva nationalists, trying to control or claim neighbouring countries per their Hindutva beliefs and investing in better infrastructure so as to close the gap between rich and poor. Oh and they need to stop being so protectionist and join the RCEP. They had plenty of time to develop but wasted it. India being a democracy is one of the worst things that happened to that country imo. A developing Asian country is never going to succeed with leaders that come and go every 4 years which is what happens with democracy, it needs a hardline leader. India is so far behind because of democracy.
1
@chiangchengkooi9791 That would spark an immense diplomatic protest from Singapore and Malaysia.
1
Low standards? You think being compared to China is low? Are you not aware that China is light years ahead of India at this very moment? Be humble.
1
@reddragon100 Yeah and that's what's problematic about India. There are nationalists in India who can't get along with their neighbours because they believe those neighbouring countries belong to them. It's just like China.
1
@davidford3115 Being a developed country does not mean you can have a space program. Most developed countries do not have space programs and India is one of the main space powers of our time and they're a developing country. For a space program, you just need plenty of money to invest in technology and STEM and develop a space program worthy of being on the international stage. China may not be a high income country like Japan but it is close to becoming one and its living standards in it eastern coastal region are at the same level of development as those found in developed nations.
1
@davidford3115 Back for more trolling? Are you that upset that I called you out the other day that you simply can't act like a grown up and just move on??????
1
@davidford3115 Once again, you are jumping around the point and trying to make another point which is not what I am talking about. For goodness sake, stop being so bitter and move on.
1
@davidford3115 It was a mistake for me to reply to you. I should have known this man doesn't have it in him to move on.
1
@davidford3115 Learn not to poke a bear? I thought you were mature enough to move on and have a proper discussion but clearly not. Instead of continuously repeating "touch grass", why don't you go touch grass? You're the man who can't move on because he is still bitter and triggered by what I said. Go TOUCH GRASS because that's clearly what you need to do if you're still hollering about an argument that took place on a completely different video from a week ago.
1
No, it's about diversifying. Relying on India only is not the solution.
1
@aprilchan3726 Doesn't matter. The point is that the Burmese military is continuing to murder citizens, like they have always done.
1
@samiitb Then India ought to be quiet.
1
In my opinion, India is lagging behind because of democracy.
1
Same thing.
1
@mikelloyd520 The second includes India too. The two terms mean the same thing. Indo-Pacific became more common because the Trump administration began using it instead of Asia-Pacific.
1
@mikelloyd520 Well to be fair, that's not the US definition. The definition of Asia-Pacific includes India, along with the rest of South Asia and Myanmar. I live in an Asia-Pacific country and at school we were always taught Asia-Pacific stretches from India/Pakistan to the Cook Islands/French Polynesia. There are many international products released in this part of the world which define the Asia-Pacific in the same way (e.g. Apple). Indo-Pacific is just another term to describe the same area that Asia-Pacific covers.
1
@Kevin-fq3zh They're the rich ones but it's true that many, especially the men who live in that country, are overly patriotic and nationalistic. Too much of that does nothing good for a country. I think this is part of the reason why India can't progress because they can't criticise themselves and understand their flaws. Always get defensive, never self reflective.
1
@pavan923 So you think Sri Lanka belongs to you?
1
@pavan923 I'm not from Sri Lanka, I'm not a citizen of that country so you were saying?
1
@pavan923 This "holier than thou" mentality that exists among sections of the Indian public is quite amusing to me. India is still a developing nation with extreme wealth inequality and they want to absorb another country into their territory without fixing the poverty that plagues their most populous states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar? Why it's because they believe in Akhand Bharat.
1
@BruceWayne-qe7bs Sri Lankan Tamils are not Indians, they are natives of Sri Lanka.
1
@BruceWayne-qe7bs You sound just like the CCP, I hope you know that.
1
Its population being 70% ethnically Chinese doesn't mean it's pro-China. There is widespread anti mainland-China sentiment in Singapore directed towards Mainland Chinese immigrants of which Singaporeans, of all ethnic origins, claim they don't assimilate into Singapore's multicultural society and form cliques.
1
@mefisto05s.20 Well it will be because it's been stuck as a lower middle income nation for so long, still hasn't progressed to upper middle income status and they can't plug their catastrophic brain drain.
1
@off_grid_javelin India is still incredibly poor but their fertility rate is now below replacement level. Their urban fertility rate which is where most of the educated people live stands at 1.6. Their population will only grow for a couple ore decades before it reaches its peak. On top of that, they will be dealing with an aging population by the middle of this century. They don't have enough jobs for their educated so all of the young people leave the country. So India will also be suffering from chronic brain drain. None of that helps a developing country trying to become rich. India will probably become a middle income trapped nation.
1
INDIA SUPER CLEAN 🇮🇳 What do you think you're even achieving by spamming everybody's notifications with this? You must be from Pakistan which is very funny because to us, you and Indians are all the same... if not worse so what now?
1
@dancingcar8974 Not you getting offended at what I said (aka the truth)
1
@dancingcar8974 Triggered because I stated facts lmaooooooooooooooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 If you weren't triggered you wouldn't be replying to me like this. Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 You're the one barking at me. If you're upset with what I said, come out and say it instead of being passive aggressive. 💀
1
@dancingcar8974 This man is triggered by what I said but doesn't have the ability to address his concerns lmaooooooooooo
1
@dancingcar8974 Firstly, everything I stated is the truth. Seethe, cry and cope. Secondly, you say you don't want to waste time but you're wasting your time replying to me with clown emojis. The irony and foolery... Nationalists and their pathetic behaviour.
1
@dancingcar8974 You don't know what to say to me because everything I stated was a fact. So, you come here become passive aggressive under the impression that you're doing something but you're not. You're hurt by the facts that were stated so now you're throwing a tantrum. Lmaoooo Indian nationalists, they're all the same😂😂
1
@dancingcar8974 Lmaooo the Indian nationalist is so triggered
1
@dancingcar8974 Still triggered lol
1
@dancingcar8974 You are so triggered by what I said about India. Nationalists make me laugh. Deep down you know what I said is true, that's why you're resorting to whatever this is lmaooooooo.
1
It also means India won't ever fully develop and that's exactly what the US wants.
1
They mean the same thing 💀
1
@John_Doe448 The CCP is to blame but the US government is to blame as well. Why? It's because a Chinese dissident, Wei Jingsheng, had travelled to the US in late 2019 intending to speak to the US president (Trump) or someone close to him in order to inform them of a new virus spreading in China. This information fell on deaf ears at the US government and Dr Fauci, in the early days, downplayed a lot of the things that were happening because he and the NIH had been funding risky virus research in Wuhan.

@deezeed2817 Nobody believes that
1
At the basic level it is related to the same economic models that were employed in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and today in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
1
@xcutioner5411 I really don't think so because Kpop isn't the only thing that is part of the Korean Wave. There needs to be something else to fill the void if the Korean Wave ends and there really isn't anything on par with that at the moment.
1
@xcutioner5411 Ok but what country are you from? BTW, ignoring me is going to give me a good hint as to what nation you are from if you do choose to ignore me.
