Asian countries are far more accepting of ethnic diversity and new immigrants than European nations. That is a FACT. There were so many ethnic Chinese and Indians that settled across Southeast Asia in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries and they're accepted as locals without question. So many Russian and Ukrainian refugees living in resort towns in South and Southeast Asia, not one local has protested in the street demanding them to leave. Bring up the Caribbean and Asians that settled in the UK in the 20th century and you'll learn their descendants are still treated like foreigners. The only place in the world where this behaviour is normal is Western Europe. Before anybody comes for me, I'm NOT from the UK or anywhere in Europe. So telling me to go home makes no sense because I already live in my home nation.

and this is why India will remain like this forever.

They're Rohingyas. A Western man isn't going to explain Asian affairs to Asian people. If we go far back in time, the animosity between Rohinyas and other Burmese is actually due to the actions of British colonisers. Think about that.

@delinquentsplayground It really is

Why Australia?
1
@suumitsingh That doesn't even make sense cause you made that up.

Nobody should be surprised by this. If you alienate and exclude a huge portion of your country's population, you should not be surprised that things didn't go your way. In a country with 200 million Muslims, why would they vote for a party that views them as lesser people?

@braddo7270 You're an Indian pretending to be white, please be serious for a second.
1
@braddo7270 There is literally so much backlash towards immigration across the entire Anglosphere and you're claiming to be British saying "we need each other". You claim to be British, so then you would've seen all of the viral videos on TikTok right? Basically everybody has seen them.
1
@phoenixj1299 No it didn't. It was rich because the people that lived there were intelligent and had good morals. That does not exist in the modern India we see today.
1
@dcmhsotaeh That's not what I'm talking about. The old India is very different to the modern India. I can't believe how a country that gave so many beautiful and advanced spiritual traditions, philosophies and concepts to the world and one that is so rich in culture can become a country where infant mortality rate is high, where women, girls and female babies are mistreated by men, where open defecation is still a widespread issue, where infrastructure is poor, where street food is prepared in unhygienic settings and practices and where the streets and monuments like Taj Mahal are surrounded by rubbish among other issues.

@seinarugomi Just stop it. Both Rohingya and Rakhine committed atrocities against each other and the military started all of this.
1
@nukkun6967 Actually there are many in Rakhine State that claim to stand by the Rohingyas. This started happening last year when the Burmese military engaged in fresh fighting with the Arakan Army. Rakhine Buddhists realised for the first time that the enemy was the Burmese military because they were getting the same treatment that the Rohingyas faced in 2017.
1
Saffy Hussian What?? Do you have any understanding of the history of South Asian and Southeast Asian countries?? Don't talk about things you don't understand! Rohingyas would be living in peace in Myanmar just like the other Burmese Muslim groups (Kama, Bamar Muslims) if the British never ruined things for that community. The Rohingyas are suffering in part due to the British colonisers. Educate yourself. Surprised you're even saying this when your name likely indicates that you're Asian too.

I wonder why India doesn't focus on the important issues like building up its manufacturing, creating better infrastructure and striving towards becoming a high income developed nation. I used to have so much faith in India but now it's almost gone. I want to visit India but how come the entire cow belt looks like it's still in the 1940s and the rest of India still is very rural? I'm appalled and can't believe I dedicated an entire project in school discussing why the "Rise of India" was an important development for the world.

@tanmayadas68 How does that change anything when only the middle class and upper class benefit from India's growth? Be serious and think about the poor people that are still living in extreme poverty. India has the second largest number of people living in extreme poverty in the world. Rattling on about some stats means nothing when Uttar Pradesh still looks like it's stuck in the 1940s. 💀

@Leprechaunmonkey101 Who said that? The most popular actress in China right now is a Uyghur actress, Dilireba. Despite being Uyghur, she is cast as a Han Chinese woman in the Chinese dramas she stars in. Uyghur features are considered a beauty standard among Han Chinese people, so what are these camps you speak of?

@Stories4TheDead What I stated is the truth and irdgaf if you're mad.

What exactly are you winning? I think it's time you take off those rose coloured lenses and look at the way the world sees you. Nobody takes y'all seriously, even when India achieves something good like its moon mission or its mars mission, it's met with ridicule and revulsion. Viral videos on the state of India's development ranging from its street food, to the treatment of women, girls and female babies to the issue of open defecation and cleanliness go viral on a daily basis on international social media. In 1 year, India's international image has been ruined simply by a plethora of horrific viral videos of street food in India on TikTok (the most used international social media app). Racism against Indians is now normalised to such an extreme extent that it has entered the mainstream internationally. Pakistan has a better international reputation than India now. Sorry but you're not winning anything Vishesh.
