@Kenji Hansolo Interesting you say this because remember at the time, some Maldivians said they saw a plane with the Malaysia Airlines logo flying very low above their nation. There is a conspiracy theory that the plane landed in the British Indian Ocean Territory, a colonised territory located to the south of the Maldives of which the native inhabitants were expelled by the UK and US in order to create a US military base. If that theory is indeed true, then it would make sense why nobody knows anything about the whereabouts of MH370 today because nobody is allowed to enter the islands except military personnel and contracted personnel with the US defence forces. Nobody actually knows what's going inside that territory because media and cameras are not allowed there either. So I really wouldn't be surprised if the US had a hand in this.

I remember at the time, they were saying Malaysia was not providing enough details in the days after MH370 disappeared and relations between China and Malaysia deteriorated considerably. All these countries in Asia-Pacific (Australia, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea) as well as the UK and US spent time searching the Indian Ocean but nothing substantial was ever found. There is a conspiracy the plane was flown to the British Indian Ocean Territory, a secretive US military base located just south of the Maldives (where locals had claimed to see the plane fly very low over their nation).

@suyashmittal2912 It's still classified as "inconclusive" apart from the fact that they've found a few things like a flaperon, there is no definitive explanation for what happened. Not a single body was found, they spent years searching the Indian Ocean for the aircraft but nothing substantial was ever found after those debris washed up on Reunion.

Well it's not far fetched to see people say that when one understands the region this occurred in and its geopolitics, I mean most of the passengers were Chinese nationals and the early 2010s were the start of what would become a fierce competition between the US and China. In the early days of the plane's disappearance, Malaysia was criticised for not providing enough information to the world. I remember at the time, some Maldivians said they saw a plane with the Malaysia Airlines logo flying low above their nation. What came of that? There is a conspiracy theory that the plane landed in the British Indian Ocean Territory, a colonised territory located to the south of the Maldives of which the native inhabitants were expelled by the UK and US in order to create a US military base decades ago. If that theory is indeed true, then it would make sense why nobody knows the whereabouts of MH370 because nobody is actually allowed to enter the islands except certain military personnel and contracted personnel with the US defence forces. The UN court in Hague declared the UK's control over the territory to be illegal but nothing has changed. Nobody actually knows what's going inside that territory because media and cameras are not allowed there either. It's a very secretive military base, a territory shrouded in mystery. So I'm not surprised people say "government cover up".

Yes that's what I thought too, the actor who plays Sokka sounds like the animated Sokka

I believe they did search the Andaman Sea, if I remember correctly but abandoned it after they created a flight path plane and suggested the plane either went northwest towards Central Asia or southwest against the Western Australian coast. They chose the southwest fight path. Maybe they should've searched the Bay of Bengal and other areas of the northeast Indian Ocean, especially after Maldivians claimed they saw a Malaysia Airlines plane fly low over their country.

Yeah I believe they do.

@JD-env1 So you're part of the US military or related services contracted to work on Diego Garcia? I'm asking because lay people (including the native Chagossians) can't enter the territory.
1
@kidrobot. So you're telling me Chagossians weren't expelled from their nation and the UN court case in Hague declaring the occupation of Diego Garcia to run a military base "illegal" are all lies? Please, be serious
1
@kidrobot. As I said before, lay people (including the native Chagossians) are barred from entering the territory. Sorry but the only person lying here is you. You have never visited the territory.

I remember at the time, some Maldivians said they saw a plane with the Malaysia Airlines logo flying very low above their nation. What came of that? There is a conspiracy theory that the plane landed in Chagos Archipelago, a colonised territory located to the south of the Maldives of which the native inhabitants were expelled by the UK and US in order to create a US military base. If that theory is indeed true, then it would make sense why nobody knows anything today because nobody is allowed to enter the islands except military personnel and contracted personnel with the US defence forces. It's almost been 9 years since it disappeared.
