  1.  @sonoranrain2330  Singapore is not a theocratic nation. Religion plays no role in Singapore's government. FGM is an issue within the Malay Muslim community, it's not practiced in the Chinese or Indian/Tamil Singaporean communities.

  5. ...and it is. This doesn't negate the fact that Singapore is still a very advanced nation in terms of wealth, technology and multiethnic harmony. Obviously every country has issues that may go against the common belief a nation exhibits. Hopefully FGM will end across the world with more education.
