Also, Singapore has the lowest crime rate in Asia and it is a multiethnic nation composed of East Asians, Southeast Asians and South Asians. Singaporean people and culture is mostly a mix of Chinese, Malays and Indians. Singapore too had a violent past with the race riots between Chinese and Malays in the 1960s and this led to a complete change in mentality to create a harmonious society after it became an independent nation against its will in 1965.

If it's because of so-called "Brahmins", explain to me why Singaporean-Indians who descend from poor traders and migrants who practiced Hinduism, Islam and Christianity that settled on the island of Singapore more than 200 years ago have gone on to become one of the most successful diasporic Indian communities in the world? These people alongside other Singaporeans went on to create one of the most advanced nations on earth. It comes down to mentality which stems from culture.

  14.  @RobP317  It's funny how "Southeast Asian" is mentioned here in reference to "Asian culture" because most Southeast Asians (excluding Vietnam) belong to Indosphere cultures which are related to South Asian cultures. Asian in the US basically typifies Sinosphere cultures, so anything East Asian or East Asian-related.

  19.  @annsgal2025  There's nothing about Indian immigrants but there was a study a few years ago where they tested the IQ of 10 year old Americans and divided them along ethnic lines and the Indian Americans kids had IQs a lot higher than the American average, same with the Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Filipino American kids. Mixed race kids of half Indian and half White, half Chinese and half White, half Japanese/Korean and half White and half Filipino and half White had above average IQs too.
