  2.  @TommyJefferson1801  Sri Lankan Muslims are very different to Saudi Arabian Muslims though. They are more similar to South Indian Muslims, Burmese Muslims and Indonesian Muslims (many of them are in fact of Javanese descent). Sri Lankan Muslims practice a Sufi-based form of Islam which is different to Saudi Arabians. Sufis are attacked by radicals that practice the same form of Islam that Saudi Arabians practice.

That might explain why India is still stuck in the 1990s and unable to undergo rapid development using an Asian economic model of development like its neighbours China and Bangladesh have done and one in which Japan and the Asian Tigers used during the 20th century.

  10.  @priasco4139  I can see your sarcasm but Bangladesh is not the safest and cleanest country in South Asia, far from it. Despite everything Sri Lanka is going through, they're still a very clean country. The Maldives and Bhutan also come out on top when it comes to clean countries in South Asia. All those countries maintain a mentality of cleanliness. "Do you know sri lanka was also called as the next asian tiger? Guess what happened?" Now why would you ask such a question? This video is about the economic collapse of Sri Lanka. Come on...it's right there. Also, let's be real. Bangladesh is described as an "Asian Tiger economy" today by organisations like the World Economic Forum as are many Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam. Idk why you think they're going under. Why are people from India so bitter about other South Asian countries doing well? I just don't get it. It's also always people from North India saying things like this, never South Indians, Northeast Indians, Punjabis or Marathis and the like.

  12. I agree but this has nothing to do with education. Most Sri Lankans are literate so they know who they are voting for. The problem is that most people have been brainwashed into believing in ethnic and religious division over so many decades and so it's no surprise a politician with and who comes from a family who profess in ethnic supremacist beliefs came to power.
