Never thought the IPEF was meaningful but India walking away from the IPEF after they walked away from the RCEP only shows one thing: that India has a very weak market that is unable to compete with multiple other countries in a large trade zone. They're so protectionist. This is why only 10% of India's population holds 77% of the country's wealth, while 670 million Indians who comprise the poorest half of the population saw only a 1% increase in their wealth.

Bimaru/Hindi Belt people are the reason why India is the way that it is. Had India been ruled by Singaporean-Tamils, India would be a highly developed nation.

You're probably better off with China than the US in all honesty (it's the border disputes that are preventing any sort of peace, that's all). Look at how the US is treating you. They'll respect you as long as you're doing what they say. Now that India is deciding to remain neutral in the war, the US is trying to find ways to punish India maybe hoping to force India into siding with the US. The US doesn't respect the fact that India and Russia have a long historical connection. I hope India continues to remain silent. It's not Asia's war anyway. NATO and Russia started it, let them deal with it.

@gsm771 IPEF is about trade policy. India is ditching every pan-region trade agreement possible because it has an incredibly weak market that cannot compete with other nations. It's been "protectionist" for the past 50 years or something

@plusultra7258 Can't even spell the name correctly ijbol. Katchatheevu was part of Sri Lanka and even under British rule was governed by British Ceylon. It was ruled by Sri Lanka but disputed by India. Can't believe this is what y'all are worried about. India is becoming China 2.0.

Hindi Cow Belt people are more worried over a tiny uninhabited island that has always been a part of Sri Lanka instead of real issues like unemployment, Manipur crisis and so on. Nobody lives on Katchatheevu and yet you're still worried about this tiny island
