Sri Lanka will gain nothing by joining India. India will gain because the RSS nationalists believe the whole of South Asia, Tibet, Myanmar and Afghanistan belong to India. Joining another country is not how you solve problems like this. Did Indonesia join Australia in 1997 because of their financial crisis? No. What is currently happening in Sri Lanka is very similar to what happened to Indonesia in 1997. With right people in charge and an overhaul of the system, changes can be made.

Sri Lanka has a low fertility rate, with a rapidly aging population and their population is set to peak and begin declining from the late 2030s onwards. This was a stable country before all of this happened. Keep up to date and stop being so ignorant.
