  1. I really don't know what it is but these types of abuse cases are so common in maid-accepting countries and regions in Asia. Why are people so hateful towards maids? These are the people that keep households running across large parts of Asia. Despite that, there is so much hate and abuse towards them in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE and so on.

  4. People will be cruel, regardless of ethnic origin. These same cases happen in other countries where there is no local Indian community like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

  5. Singaporean-Indians are different to India-Indians. Their ancestors have been living in Singapore for centuries. They're also NOT second class citizens in Singapore. Singapore treats everybody equally and there are Indian ministers in the Singaporean government, always have been. It's very easy to generalise them, like you do here.

  7. No, they're Singaporeans of Indian descent. About 9% of Singaporeans are of ethnic Indian descent. Their ancestors settled there in the 18th, 19th centuries.

  10. I actually cannot believe how racist people are towards Indians. Calling them second class citizens, claiming they're not Singaporean even though Singaporeans are literally of Chinese, Malay, Indian or Eurasian descent and claiming all other Asian countries treat them as second class citizens. Not everybody is racist. Maybe it's time to stop discriminating people just because of their ethnicity.

Look at how you called them second class citizens in their own country and generalised them. I just know you're from a developing country but somehow think you're superior. Embarrassing.

It's very easy these days for people to discriminate against Indians including in your country of Indonesia. That's why people feel it's okay to say that about them and generalise them. If it was any other group, people would be upset. The most hated group is 🇮🇳
