@50shadesofgandalfthegrey Also you don't really believe most of the authors are Dan Lok tier scammers, right? It's just that the market of that content becomes this appauling just by getting saturated, there is probably not that many people writing a self-help book with ill intent.

@50shadesofgandalfthegrey Well, You're right in that I felt value mainly from the books about learning and the other books not so much. So I guess it depends on which subset of the material you get into, but I'm coming to understand more and more that I was only exposed to the better stuff. Maybe what I consider self-help is a broader category of content than what you are describing here, so the end effect doesn't seem as bad for me from my perspective. I agree that there are many books and courses that have no actual content except faking action and I'd never pay for those.
