@davidlloyd2583 along with Ukraine remaining a neutral country and not a NATO member, a la Austria. A good deal for all.
4
@sparta-zh7yk how could he possibly know that?
4
@peterbarton9856 Peter, why would you assume I have a russki name?
4
Time to surrender, kiss NATO membership and Crimea, Donbass etc goodbye, and beg the West's taxpayers for more unlimited funds for reconstruction, plus hopefully learn the lesson of not messing with Russia again.
4
of course, 2 Russian soldiers would know exactly who was responsible, because soldiers are informed of everything in these types of operation.
4
Even the words "Ukraine" and "Ukrainian" didn't exist until the mid 19th century! The Crimean War was fought against Russia, not against Ukraine!
4
@fabik805 being dragged into a NATO war rarely is still a lot worse than never being dragged into a war. and those Finnish tax payers have to cough up to pay their NATO membership fee and to pay for the useless border wall in the middle of nowhere, all to make Finland a target where it never was before. big own goal by Finland.
4
Wagners just waiting for the dirt roads to turn to mud so that Ukronazis get stuck in panic exiting, their vehicles turned into metal coffins. the genius of Zelensky.
4
please join immediately. what are you waiting for? the fall of Kupiansk?
4
given Zelensky is a lot younger than Putin, not a shock of a prediction that one!
4
@neverlookback1244 "fleeing violence"? what horrendous violence is sweeping Cameroon, Gambia, Senegal? you are deluded.
4
@jacquelineithell307 i have a feeling none of them is fleeing war.
4
more Azov Nazi troops caught hiding in civilian areas
4
because Ukraine recently crossed into Russia and created a pocket through which the terrorists could slip through.
4
when will the BBC report on news of great interest, like where is Zaluzhny? where is Budanov? where is Gonzalo Lira? where is investigative journalism?
4
hit the nail on the dead
4
@Els-se6ky yep, like every Western European city, neighborhoods crawling with migrants to the point that Western Europe no longer looks like Europe. Eurabia will be debating whether Brussels or Rotterdamstan should become the capital of the Caliphate.
4
the usual propaganda about huge Russian losses without any evidence of such. so tiresome.
4
"why should anyone give any of its territory to Russia?" because the majority of your citizens in those parts of your country who opted for separation from Kiev in 2014 want it that way, and are prepared to fight for it. Get real.
4
"two of our most experienced men lost a leg each this past week" so how many legs/bodies/lives will be lost when the teenage recruits with 2 weeks training get pushed to the front lines this summer? gotta keep fighting until the last Ukrainian, and THEN we will let Russia dictate peace terms. Great plan, NATO.
4
@cabanford how little you know the Russians
4
@mazocco it's basic numbers. rising immigration = rising demand = rising government costs (unless the majority of the new arrivals are net contributors to the tax system, which they are not). nothing xenophobic about the facts. I am equally harsh on the native parasites. why would anyone, no matter where they are from, expect someone else to pay for their accommodation?
4
@JeffreyGoddin look at the population density of England. look at the population density of the Mid West. that comparison will give you a clue as to why building more housing for 300,000 more people year on year is a MAJOR problem. "providing" housing is the key phrase you used. Immigrant population growth is not Economic growth. If you have a rise in net recipients over net contributors to the system, you have a big problem. Immigrants paying for their own housing can be a plus. Immigrants with their hands out waiting to be "provided" accommodation is a problem. Yes, the UK government stands in the way of ever more construction. The environmentalists have demanded such. So, we have the Left demanding no more construction and the Left demanding more housing. Get the picture?
4
spelling mistake.....the word is UNpopular.
4
Keep going Donetsk and Lugansk, fight for your land! Defeat and level the bully Ukrainians!
4
well well well, imagine that, when sanctions are relaxed and we negotiate with Russia, a deal can be secured and can work!
4
@wokeaf1337 but Russians are much tougher, they don't wring their hands and cry at being misgendered or canceled
4
of the 12 EU sanctions packages so far announced by the EU against Russia, which one really hurt Russia would you say? regarding more Western military support for Ukraine....which one is it, would you say? NATO doesn't want to give any more, or can't give any more? why the delay?
4
"Kremlin spin is presenting this as a triumph for the president" BBC spin is presenting this as something other than a triumph for the president.
3
@moderndemon84 oh, but it does! when government ministers decide "funds for Ukraine, or funds for the rail system" the people get upset when they see multiple deaths at home is the result! Don't be fooled by the BBC. there is a lot of anger about Greek money being sent abroad.
3
@napolean_ragland tell you what, you sort out the basic facts of your case, learn a little basic geography, and then we can debate when you are beyond primary school level, ok?
3
looks like Weather Change at work
3
"coming to look for a better life" better for whom? for the native Europeans?
3
as to the all important question, which side has lost more troops in the Bakhmut conflict? never an answer. just insisting that Russia has lost thousands and thousands. right, so, compared to Ukraine, who came out ahead? crickets.
3
put the water supply to Crimea in jeopardy
3
a real ally would be pushing Zelensky to talk peace, not to continue seeing hundreds of young cannon fodder troops massacred every day.
3
@brettpilkington9539 the way they refer to him makes it sound like he is 5 years old. why call him "Jay" and not just "Slater"?
3
but that's what happens when a company is bankrupt, which is pretty much where the US government is right now.
3
"there's terrible morale"....yep, we've heard this wishful thinking since March. what would be the morale right now of Ukrainian forces in Bakhmut, almost surrounded and knowing a bunch of convicts with low morale just destroyed Ukrainian battalions in Soledar, Jeremy?
3
ditto those fighting for Russia and her allies
3
@wom_Bat which of these quotes do you disagree with and why?
3
@wom_Bat pick one. let's debate. you might see some sense if you actually consider the reality and the context of these quotes.
3
@wom_Bat The very idea of Donbass is offensive that statement fill you with disgust and loathing too?
3
there is no climate crisis. hottest temperature recorded in Greece, 48C in 1977. Greece today is cool compared to that. the crisis is in dumb people wanting to build homes too close to forest areas. it's that simple.
3
@luminousfractal420 there was no "NATO agreement to keep Ukraine as a buffer zone". if there were, looks like NATO broke such an agreement by inviting Ukraine to join NATO!
3
@Robert-xy4xi when the Azov Nazi battalion started shelling the ethnic Russians of the Donbass in 2014, safe to say it was Ukraine that started all this, not Russia.
3
@monumentaltravel3745 Apartheid was during the Soviet era. Soviet writers had no freedom to comment on unauthorized subjects.
3
Suddenly BBC interested in this desperate group of convicts and mercenaries that are routing Ukraine's finest battalions, NATO trained and NATO armed. Not looking good for NATO. Maybe Ghost of Kiev will win the day?
3
Slava Donbasu, freedom from Ukrainian oppression.
3
supporters of Russia love any foolish nonsense broadcast in the West! It's hilarious!
