  1. As a digital nomad, I can recommend Istanbul, Bogotá and Belgrade. I've heard from others that street crime is something you have to be careful about in Bogotá, though I never experienced any. Quality of life is excellent in Belgrade.

  4. Ireland is a rotten recommendation. It has turned into a 3rd world dumping ground. Unless you want to feel you are in Bangladesh or Baghdad, and be constantly concerned if you will be the next stabbing victim, don't bother with expensive Ireland. SOOO many better places to consider.

  8. I got out of the UK 20 years ago and no regrets. The last "Conservative" government was a high tax Socialist outfit in disguise. For me, being as nomadic as possible, but based in France has worked well.

  9. as a UK national who spends winters in France or Spain, paying rents and just about every other charge in cash is no problem. just mention that choice up front and both parties are usually fine with the deal.

  10.  @Poleeze1  what i said was quite different. "yet" means it is unknown if such upheavals will come in the future. "now on the way" is a confirmation that upheavals will happen and are just around the corner. I'm guessing English is not your first language. Look up the word "yet" in a dictionary.
