Blame the EU. EU law allows freedom of movement, so locals can never "get their beaches back". the beaches and towns are not "theirs" any more.

@KSzkodaGames UK citizens need no visa to travel to the Schengen Zone nor to anywhere in the EU. Learn the basics. The point is there are 500 million EU citizens (I'm not talking about Brits in this statement) and every single one of those 500 million citizens has Freedom of Movement in the EU, so the locals better learn PDQ that "their" town, "their" streets, "their" housing and "their" beach, as per EU rules, is NOT theirs, but now belongs to the whole EU, capisce?

@KSzkodaGames not allowed under EU Freedom of Movement laws. 500 million people live in the EU, and not one single one of them can be banned from going to Spain, to Mallorca, and living there, so the locals, having embraced the EU, have lost all control of their immigration, their beaches, their streets. time to wake up.

@binkabi4725 As EU citizens, the locals can go anywhere in the EU they choose, for as long as they like. and anyone in the EU can outprice them in their own home town and hang around their beach forever. welcome to the horrors of the EU

@sabinenadal8470 a stupid answer only to fools who don't grasp the underlying causes.
3
why?
2
@allwrighty100 sadly for the locals, EU law prevents the locals having their beaches back. EU freedom of movement means the locals don't have a beach. that beach is open to anyone in the EU.
2
this is what happens when EU law allows freedom of movement
2
why? respect is something earned, not just given out to anyone in line.
2
@danielwhyatt3278 lucky? they may well have worked for every penny of their trip? how would that be "lucky"?
2
@labt8194 I never said anything about the tourists "involved in this video". looks like reading comprehension is not your forte.
2
@agbomolica1 His Majesty the King brings total disrespect to the English culture and people
2
@humphreysliftingandfitness626 maybe if Spain had some kind of serious consequence for such behaviour things might change?
2
@butterflyKiss604 oh, of course Brits are allowed to go to Spain on holiday. I was just explaining why the locals in Spain will never have their beaches back and will always have hordes of drunken tourists there. EU freedom of movement allows all EU citizens to go where they want, for as long as they want.

@manuelrodriguez2637 Certainly Spanish school groups have to be scolded for their behavior in public, all the time.
1
@MephitisUK mass brawls on a beach wouldn't make it as a news article, because stabbings, rapes beheadings are more the scene in the UK, and who goes to a beach in Britain beyond that one weekend in summer when it might be enjoyable?
1
@Threemore650 on every level. respect is earned, not dished out as a favor, to individuals and groups.

@UNITED8993 who cares?
1
1
For many, Spain deserves no respect at all, it is just the b***h of Brussels, so hordes will go for the sun and cheap beer and treat Spain with the disdain it deserves. Wouldn't have happened under Franco.
