@gvidon300 I'm not Russian, so it's not "my" MOD! But, yes, despite being told repeatedly by some infantile Ukraine supporters that "everything Russia claims is a lie", I do believe the Russian MOD on this one. Problem is, for Western media, if you keep stressing that Russia is so desperate that it must use convicts and mercenaries, then you just made it tough to explain to your audience how such a desperate situation resulted in Russia defeating those oh so well trained, NATO trained, Ukrainian battalions. can't have your cake and eat it.

@gvidon300 the big problem here, for the West, is that there have only been two battles so far, battles as defined by both sides go toe to toe, street by street, to see which side endures and prevails. Mariupol and Bakhmut/Soledar. It is about to be 2-0 to Russia, despite the "gamechangers" (stingers, javelins, M777s, himars etc). But the West insists Ukraine is winning. Anyone with any sense would at least start to question that narrative.
