Total myth that Ukraine has better equipment too. If it did, why does so much of it get destroyed and more and more needs to be begged from the West?

  6.  @iron_labrador  not quite, but let us assume you are right, and Lyman is encircled, what I said still holds, that if the Russians can punch through to Siversk, the Russians can in turn surround the Ukrainian forces to the south of Lyman. Keep in mind the rope-a-dope tactics. It may well be that the Russians made a bad mistake in not abandoning Lyman, but it could well be that the Russians are standing and fighting in Lyman for a reason. By the way, how is the massive Kherson counter offensive going?
