  1. The low on morale, poorly equipped convicts of the Wagner gang have beaten NATO trained and NATO armed Ukrainian battalions in Soledar! Let that sink in! Soledar is surrounded, so, yes, it is under Russian control, and yes, the poor cannon fodder Zelensky abandoned in the center of Soledar are still fighting for their lives, futilely. Soledar is of little importance. But Mariupol was the only other two to toe battle, a street by street brawl, so when Bakhmut falls it will be Russia/Convicts 2 Ukraine/NATO 0. That's why Soledar is significant.

  2.  @WinterGK  the last movements were 3 months ago! the last movements saw Ukraine take nothing. The last movements saw Russia withdraw and give away territory that was too thinly guarded (what Ukraine would do now with Bakhmut if it had a president who was something other than a puppet actor drunk on adulation). The important movements are the ones where the Russian forces and Ukrainian forces go toe to toe, street for street, in a battle to the last man. So far, those battles have NEVER resulted in a Ukrainian win. Mariupol, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Popasnaya, and now Soledar. Every time they go toe to toe, Russia wins, and that is why Kiev and Washington are now in panic. Slowly the penny is dropping. it's not territory on the map that matters. it's how many fighting men are left, how many weapons are on hand, and who wins toe to toe. Russia wins in all three categories. Enjoy the territory Ukraine regained! It all goes straight back into Russian hands when the last Ukrainian drops dead.

  4. Can't have your cake and eat it! If the media were right about low morale, poor equipment and general incompetence in the Russian ranks, now explain how such a motley crew just beat the UK trained and armed Ukraine battalions.
