  1. they are only asylum seekers when they cross into the first safe territory. when they arrive in Turkey they are safe from any political persecution, so from that point on, what are they seeking asylum from? What makes Greece so unsafe they must desperately seek protection in North Macedonia? They are not asylum seekers. They are illegal immigrants.
