Neither Bakhmut nor Soledar is of any importance in itself. What is of great importance is how NATO deals with the shocking reality that, according to Western media, a bunch of convicts and mercenaries, low on morale and poorly equipped, just defeated Ukraine's battalions of NATO trained and NATO armed troops. Ukraine not going to ever retake Crimea if Russia's convicts and mercenaries can rout NATO trained and armed troops in little Soledar.

Yeah, Estonia heading down the path Ukraine took, discriminating against ethnic Russians and Russian speakers. We've seen this movie before and know how it ends. Tallinn, this will not end well for you!
10
you don't become Italian by being born there or living there or working there. it's much deeper than that. Euronews is confusing obtaining a certain nationality with actually being native AND culturally imbued with the nation. a dog born in a stable is still a dog, not a horse.
8
so the pro Russian candidate is imprisoned in Estonia? Looks like Estonia has ditched EU values and adopted the Russian values that saw Navalny put in prison.
8
nothing "far right" about Vox. Euronews definitely far left, however.
6
hmmm, no report on the Ukrainian losses. am guessing that means they were astronomically high.
6
massive demonstration.....strange no mention of this on BBC! I wonder why?
6
In Russia, a democratic country, men are free to leave the country if they so wish. and street protests happen regularly. In Ukraine, a dictatorship, men are compelled to remain in the country and forced to become cannon fodder, while no opposition party is allowed in parliament and no protests allowed. Azov Nazis rule in Kiev.
5
but you WOULD want to go to war for a good reason, like revenge for the 8 years of Azov Nazis shelling the Donbass, right?
5
@gvidon300 Ukrainian bot are always care about foreign money and armies and not for their own.
4
Yet again, Ukraine targeting civilians who decide to move to Russian territory. They did the same in Kharkov oblast.
4
@robburns2111 where is the proof Russia is responsible? Don't judge Russia by the standards that Ukraine follows regarding innocent civilians (read again the Amnesty International report on Ukraine using human shields)
3
@bluecardholder on the contrary, what I write is the truth as I see it and as I have experienced it in Ukraine. it is the truth you are not exposed to by Western media. Am happily retired and in no need of any cash from anyone, but my heart and soul are with the Donbass ethnic Russians and I hope they can finally break free from the tyrant Zelensky soon. Got it?
3
@phucanhtran1980 as always, a detailed and analytical response from Phuc
3
every day i thank God for putting Russians on this planet to show us the meaning of "fight for what is right".
3
reservist call up is not mobilization. Peskov was right. lol reservist call ups were made for US and UK forces to go to Iraq and Afghanistan.
2
@moiseshuerta3984 try thinking, not just reading
2
@mediocresetup what makes you think it was the Russian cannon fodder that died in massive numbers and not the Ukrainian cannon fodder?
2
EU sponsored trolls have arrived in comments ha ha
2
AFD is not far right. Euronews is far left.
2
Bad choice, Moldova. Side with Russia and get loads of cheap energy, or side with the EU and get limited supplies of bloody expensive energy. no brainer, but you went the wrong way and went with the sinking ship, EU.
2
@conorwhite2066 exactly, this bizarre Alice in Wonderland view the media want us to believe. Russia is poised to invade all of Europe, while Russia is so weak it can't even defeat Ukraine after one year. which one is it?
2
@ultonian63 thanks for the potato, Adolf. What are you going to snack on? something fresh from the Russian meatgrinder maybe?
2
Germany is going to have a horrific time this winter. Scholz won't survive
2
@bluecardholder now then, you tell me exactly what I said that was untrue and how you know it to be untrue.
2
@joh22293 what's your point, Sherlock?
2
@joh22293 keen to debate the issues? or just desperately looking at registration dates as a way to defend the Azov Nazis?
2
@tryingtocorrect your definition of a "small" aerial (local?) conflict would be different from mine. so give me a number. how many people would have to die for a "small" local conflict to become a big local conflict? in my book, once you are over 100 (and Donbass has seen thousands and thousands) deaths, it ain't "small". would you say the Germans setting up concentration camps for German Jews was a purely German conflict and we should have let Germany deal with it? After all, if Jews don't like living in Germany, they can move out. And if black people are discriminated against in France, they can just move out, right? let them all just move out. If Kosovars don't like life in Kosovo, move to Albania! ...except NATO decided to bomb Serbia for 78 days...in this case it was not a local conflict. see why so many people are confused by your "rules based system". it is horribly illogical and inconsistent.
2
"Liman is a supply hub for the region meaning Russian positions in Luhansk are now under threat" supplies enter Luhansk from Russia! Not Liman! Do these reporters know anything?
2
"if you don't give them jobs, offer them anything" there is the problem. the Left believe a job is simply a gift, to be handed to anyone who wants a salary. what is stopping him "giving" ten jobs as taxi driver to 10 immigrants?
2
Russia is the largest country on the planet. if it came to nukes, Russia has the best chance of surviving, as a country, of all nations. while all UK and France is covered by mushroom clouds and horrific nuclear fall-out, Putin and co are alive and well in Vladivostok.
2
such an abuser, the country that provided affordable and reliable energy to the point Germany got as much of it as it could.
2
big difference between "taken the town" and "poised to encircle it". BTW, how's the massive Kherson offensive going?
2
@tryingtocorrect maybe some think the West reports unbiasedly? when was the last time you heard Western media report on the shelling of Donetsk?
1
Western media report 6 million refugees outside Ukraine, 6 million displaced within Ukraine. Zelensky destroying his own country so easily. should have implemented Minsk accords
1
@ok-vk9fv so between 1991 and 2014, why did Russia do nothing about the Donbass? pretty amazing coincidence that Russia started problems in Donbass EXACTLY the same time there was an illegal coup in Kiev!
1
@wellbi good point, so to rephrase, the West is perfectly happy with the coup in 2014 which, by definition, was totally illegal, but are aghast at referenda which allows people to express their political opinions
1
@ettoreatalan8303 in that case, how to explain all the opposition parties in the Duma, including the Communist party? Either you are ignorant or you are confusing Zelensky (no opposition parties allowed in the Rada) with Putin! Which is it?
1
@RobLocksley these days, no such journalist exists, so you have to get a taste of all sources and make your best judgement
1
so of the 3 men interviewed, not one of them said he was fleeing the mobilization order! absolutely fake news.
1
All the best to you, Russia. The only country in Europe to stand up to the Azov Nazi bullies and mass murdering nationalists so beloved by Zelensky
1
just wait til this pipeline is completed. Putin will discover ethnic Russians in Azerbaijan have been discriminated against and launch a special military operation, declared "successful" when the Azeri pipes have been turned off. EU walking into another Russian trap.
1
imposing a utilities cap just means the government pays the balance of the bill, which means governments will have to raise taxes to pay their share, or print money, causing more inflation, so the people will end up paying the full bill anyway. What fools our leaders were to reject Russian energy.
1
perfect way to unite Russians against its neighbors, and perfect portrayal that states like Georgia and the EU believe in russophobia and reject inclusion.
1
The EU is such a joke. So, now it's time to worry about importing terrorism, but under Merkel the importation of a million unvetted migrants was cause for celebration. Got it.
1
oh wow! HUNDREDS of demonstrators? 70,000 demonstrators took to the streets in Prague the other weekend to protest the sanctions against Russia. I think we can see which way this war is going.
1
oh ,the pleasure of writing dismissive comments about Putin from a keyboard outside of Ukraine. such a lovely war.
1
Matias D.C so true. King Horse Face and Elensky Coke Head are chatting about how their overseas properties have increased in value of late, I suspect
1
The Idiot safeguarding Russia because Russia, strange as this may sound to you, doesn't want a pro Nazi and rabidly russophobic NATO weaponized country on its border. (just like USA insisted Cuba would not have Soviet missiles on Cuba's soil). liberating Donbass because the people of the Donbass will be finally free from the derussification and discrimination from Kiev. Russian will be the language and culture of the ethnic Russians of Donbass! the pure evil comes from the likes of you, aptly named the Idiot, who so desperately want pro Nazi tyranny compelled upon the good people of Crimea and Donbass. Pure evil. BTW, do you passionately believe that the French speakers of Canada should be stripped of their rights to use French in schools and in all branches of government? yes or no?
1
@The Idiot talking of Nazi style ethnic cleansing, what do you think of the fact that Stefan Bandera is a national hero of Ukraine?
