happens every year. it's called "summer". many places get extremely hot. has always been that way. the only thing that has changed is the hysterical news coverage of hot weather and its consequences. alarmism at its worst.

@oojimmyflip Death Valley is a good point. Has always been exceptionally hot, but these days the media coverage of its heat is the only thing that has changed. US summer temperatures were MUCH higher in the 1930's. The number of places in the US that get over 100F is way down on a century ago.

@CT-vm4gf as I said, only a fool would believe the honesty of scientists who are grifting from this hysteria. After "hide the decline" and Climategate, only an imbecile would believe these "experts" are truthful.

post Climategate and "hide the decline", there is no good reason to believe any of the data produced by "scientists", and many a good reason to doubt its authenticity.
