@alexpp219 Did Russia want to take Kiev last March? Nope.
4
what's silly is thinking NATO/Ukraine could ever defeat Russia in a land war.
4
@TheNoobPube given that the majority of Germans would never tolerate its army waging war against Russia, safe to say the Germans wouldn't even step on the battlefield. though I must say, those Kinzhal missiles Germany has developed are impressive...oh, wait, that would be Russia, not Germany. Germany, so powerful it can't even prevent or find out who blew up its own oil pipelines. you are so funny.
4
you can be as adaptive as you like, when you are recruiting 16 yr olds and giving them just a month of training, you are going to lose. Slava Rossiyi
3
@candidaprout8441 agreed. if only Ukraine had stuck with negotiations back in March, 2022, instead of convincing themselves that NATO could deliver victory.
3
3 of Ukraine's top fighter pilots just killed each other in a mid air collision, and this incompetence before they even got to see an F16 or a Russian enemy! You can't make this s**t up! But Ukraine is winning, right?
3
@paulgilbert9346 16 year olds now banned from leaving Ukraine. I guess they are banned from leaving Ukraine because their high school education is so superior in Ukraine compared to, say, Singapore, right? Now, you explain to me, why you are 100% sure that Ukraine would have absolutely no need of any 16 yr olds in its armed forces.
2
@ahhmm5381 Why would a slow, plodding Ukrainian advance be considered something positive given the horrendous losses they are suffering?
2
@chriss521 if Russian jets were shot down regularly, believe me, it would be trumpeted incessantly across the Western media. The deafening silence on this subject means Ukraine's air defences are minimal and that Russian pilots are not being shot down. What I am saying is that if Ukraine's best can't even stay alive in training and avoid killing each other, what hope is there for the second string pilots who climb into an F16 and fight experienced Russians?
2
The problem is, NATO/Ukraine never expected to be in such a conflict over such a period of time, and has not prepared for such. You can't build a military force on the fly. Russia, on the other hand, since 2014, has been aware it would need to prepare for such a conflict, and is executing its war of attrition, just as it did and still does in Syria.
2
@TheAArmstrong you are right. time and money are not the issues. the issues are taxpayers' support in the West (both USA and Germany now see opinion polls where the majority favor ending supplying Ukraine with weapons) and industrial capacity. NATO can't produce weaponry at the rate used up by Ukraine on a daily basis. Time and money are now irrelevant factors. we agree.
2
@ahhmm5381 the Ukrainians are not advancing! one village in 3 months is not really advancing, come on! Besides, your thinking is illogical. advancing and taking horrendous losses are not two mutually exclusive situations. Both can, and indeed, are happening at the same time. yes, losses are relative to the other side. I happen to be sure that the kill rate is heavily in Russia's favor. You believe it is the other way around. Strange, though, that the Western press is now starting to report on Ukraine's lack of manpower, agreed?
2
@ahhmm5381 you did hear about the opening of a new Ukrainian military cemetery with 400,000 plots, right?
2
@martinwood3289 keep in mind, Germany is in recession, but Russia isn't (despite all the sanctions against it). UK has 7% inflation, Russia's is down to 3%, despite all the sanctions against it. if Russia isn't a superpower, we have to start calling Europe the "minnow, failure of a wrecked mini-power, right?"
2
@alexpp219 while fools like you were focused on Kiev, Russia stole Kherson and Zaporozhe with no opposition. it's called a distraction, not that you would ever understand such things. careful of pickpockets when you are out in public.
1
@Vatnik_tschistilka so why were 16 and 17 year old recently forbidden from leaving Ukraine?
1
"dribbled to the Ukrainians" ask yourself "why?" either NATO is unwilling or unable to arm Ukraine to defeat Russia. you choose which one.
1
@Vatnik_tschistilka of course you don't even know that's the case. you follow just Western media, right? the usual ignorance about reality on the ground, par for the course. so are you sure the idea is just to give the 16 yr olds basic training? you are 100% sure Zelensky has no plans whatsoever to allow 16 yr olds onto the front lines. all just for training, right? Ukraine is till winning, right?
1
@philipmain5701 1. cite evidence that proves Western weapons are out performing Russian weapons. 2. explain why a "willingness to resist" should be rewarded by restricting arms that the Ukrainians keep begging for. 3. the most recent opinion polls show a majority in the US now do NOT want to see more weapons sent o Ukraine, and a majority of voters in Germany want no more weapons sent to Ukraine. Now, you tell me which Western country has opinion polls showing overwhelming support for more and more weapons being sent to Ukraine.
1
@philipmain5701 really curious about this superior Western intelligence gathering capability. is it the same superior Western intelligence gathering capability that concluded the Taliban would need 90 days to get to Kabul, when it turned out it took just 90 hours? The same superior Western intelligence gathering capability that couldn't figure out if the Russians mined all the fields that the counter offensive would fail and men and weaponry would be blown up en masse?
1
@philipmain5701 how is Western intelligence doing on solving the Nordstream mystery? expecting some answers by Christmas next year are we? you are such an uninformed clown.
1
Zelensky doing all he possibly can to keep shoving as many Ukrainian men into the Russian meatgrinder day by day. And, in fact, Robotyne is still not entirely in Ukronazian hands, after 3 months of trying! Send more Javelins! Recruit the 16 yr olds! Cluster bombs will solve the problem! The West's desperation is comical.
1
@semausmack7482 kindness? what kindness is Germany showing the world right now? no need to worry about Germany. it has been captured by the Greta Thunbergs of this world who see the biggest sin in the world as being someone who drives a car. How are NATO's electric tanks coming along? Do German soldiers still parade with brooms, as Van der Leyen proposed when she was German defence minister? Germany is a joke. happily handing over the electric car market to China while Germany sinks into recession.
1
@semausmack7482 you can judge Germany's weakness by Scholz's reaction when Biden announced in 2022 that USA would find a way to destroy the Nordstream pipelines if Russia invaded Ukraine. There was no reaction. Germany is USA's poodle.
1
@TheNoobPube is that supposed to be a question?
1
so sad that so many in the West fail to grasp what "demilitarization" means and what a "war of attrition" is. this infantile focus on which village has been captured after 3 months of failure, is pathetic. here's the choice: 1. Ukraine runs out of manpower, 2) Ukraine runs out of weaponry, 3) Ukraine runs out of ammo, 4) Ukraine runs out of US funding. now, which one will be the one that loses the war for Ukraine? the choice is that simple.
1
what's crucial, if you care for Ukraine, is to tell them to sit down and negotiate peace terms, as they so wisely did back in March 2022.
1
@chriss521 what a naive idealist you are. "ensuring the aggressor is stopped"....you have had 18 months to do that. how's it going? "it's crucial to weaken Russia"...you have had 18 months to do that. how's it going? and now the true analogy. a neighbor enters your house, harms your children and causes destruction. the neighbor gives you a list of 5 things the neighbor demands of you, otherwise he will kill your children. what do you do? start negotiating, or try to overpower the neighbor? it's a big call, so be prepared for your whole family to be wiped out if you make the wrong call. good luck.
1
@Vatnik_tschistilka dream on. typical arrogance and misplaced confidence that led the West into thinking it could exit Kabul with no big problems. A bunch of sandal-wearing goat herders demonstrated the true level of gutless incompetence in NATO. Only a superpower could survive as being the most sanctioned nation on the planet and still have economic growth 3% higher than recession hit Germany.
1
@bigblue6917 that's right. only took NATO a week or so to be totally humiliated in Kabul. not fair to expect Ukraine to be totally humiliated and defeated in such a short space of time.
1
@Kyk_cz if the sanctions currently imposed on Russia had been imposed on USA, do you think Biden would still be in power? or even alive?
1
@martinwood3289 anyone with nuclear weapons is a superpower in that said nation can destroy any rival at any time. But Russia is a superpower in a much broader sense. It exports what the world so desperately needs, thus has a major influence on everyone's energy prices, who in the world gets fed, who gets uranium to run their nuclear power plants etc. Militarily, Russia's combat power is so strong that it can project power abroad in places like Syria, where it successfully defeated Western backed rebels. Sad really that there are so many fools in the West that never really grasped the nature of Russia's power. They think people in Niger are waving Russian flags, not French or USA flags, because the Russian presence in Africa is so insignificant.
1
@tonyking9235 you know when Biden is forced to send cluster munitions that the regular 155mm shells have run out in the West. Projection indeed.
1
@ahhmm5381 how fast is Ukraine gaining ground in the Kupiansk area?
1
@ahhmm5381 when BBC and Media Zona did their report on war dead in Russia, and came up with their final numbers, were you shocked, or not? Why do you think BBC and Media Zona absolutely refuse to compile a similar report for Ukraine?
1
@JK-br1mu how much of their own territory are they taking on the Kupiansk front? and on the Bakhmut front? At the current rate of advance, when will Ukraine reach the Sea of Azov? When Ukrainian troops invade Crimea (the Russian Federation) what will happen when Russia responds with nuclear weapons, as it has promised to do? How many Ukrainians have reached the FIRST line of Russian defences known as the Surovikin Line? Given that Russia maintained supplies and logistics in Syria over many years, what makes you think reaching the Sea of Azov will hinder Russian supplies and logistics in Ukraine in any way?
1
@JK-br1mu how many defensive belts are there?
1
@JK-br1mu are those open fields mined?
1
@JK-br1mu "once you break the defensive belt" why has it taken 3 months to fail to get to even the first defensive line? when do you predict the first Ukrainian fighters will get to the first defensive line? before, during or after the muddy season?
