international recognition is meaningless. Northern Cyprus has been internationally recognized as part of Cyprus for decades. Reality on the ground is that Northern Cyprus is part of Turkey, Turkey has full control there and life goes on as part of Turkey. Reality on the ground is everything.

straight off the factory floor and straight into the recycling center once in the cross-hairs of Russia's weaponry.

so, EU, what's holding you back from the threatened "price cap"? surely another rift with China, India and the rest of the world would be of no concern to you, given your arrogance and delusion?
1
@user-mq7vf9me3y of the ones already on the battlefield, about half. Do you want to include the one that was sold by corrupt Ukrainian officers to the Russians?
1
@inamorta47-playertwist you would have no idea how many himars are currently in Ukraine. None. let me guess, your source is Ukrainskaya Pravda?
1
@inamorta47-playertwist you missed the news! the US itself admitted it has no way of tracking any weaponry once it ends up in Ukraine!
1
@inamorta47-playertwist they said it by opening their mouths and saying those words! And, unbelievably, some fools actually believed them! That would include you, right?
1
@inamorta47-playertwist How many himars are provided and how many himars arrive onto the battlefield and survive are two different things. These are difficult concepts for the small-minded, I accept that! How old are you?

a gold mine that will yield thousands more killed, captured or crippled Ukrainian cannon fodder. enjoy the gold mine that is the Russian meatgrinder.

Zack Fair the fact remains after all your bla bla bla, that international recognition or international refusal to recognize, means nothing in the real world. Northern Cyprus lives on as part of Turkey, and the newly annexed parts of Russia will live on as part of Russia, despite the huffing and puffing of the West.
1
@FrankWinchester there are no "4 Russian republics". There are the LPR and DPR, which have voted to annexed by Russia, and two occupied territories that have voted the same way. Yes, 100 countries recognize Kosovo, which means 100 don't. What's your point? Only one country recognizes Northern Cyprus (two less than recognized LPR and DPR), but you are not wringing your hands and crying over Northern Cyprus, are you? why not?
1
@FrankWinchester why exactly is Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity of such importance to the West, when Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity was pushed aside when Kosovo, like Donbass, declared independence?
1
@FrankWinchester I didn't even mention international law! you must be confusing me with someone else! I asked you a question. Maybe this time you will answer. I asked why the West is so upset about the violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity while the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia was violated by the West? Why the double standards?
1
@FrankWinchester for the second time, you have refused to answer the question. I have no interest whatsoever in international law. Three strikes and you are out. Gonna answer the question this time? why all the Western hand-wringing over Ukraine's territorial integrity regarding Donbass and none over Serbia's territorial integrity regarding Kosovo?
1
@FrankWinchester you are talking about things that have no bearing on reality. Northern Cyprus and Kosovo have no sovereign nation status at the UN. so what? what's your point? My point is that the reality on the ground is that if a country has ONE nation of some standing that recognizes it, then it exists and the world accepts its existence (even if it does not agree with its existence in theory). Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Crimea, the new Russian territories will all go about their business and be who they claim to be just fine, because recognition by the West or by the toothless tiger, UN, determines NOTHING in the everyday lives of the people in these "unrecognized" places. you live in a detached world of bureaucratic principles that have no effect in the real world!
1
@FrankWinchester you have corrected nothing. but let's make this easy for you, seeing as you are so attached to international law. what is stated in international law that allows NATO to attack Serbia and fight for Kosovo's secession from Serbia in violation of Serbia's territorial integrity, but also prohibits Russia from attacking Ukraine in support of Donbass's secession from Ukraine? spell it out. why is one a great idea, and the other a crime?
1
Come on Frank, here is your chance to explain the West's "rules based system" to the globe's sceptics! According to International Law, what makes the NATO military intervention in Serbia to support Kosovo's claim to independence an example of RESPECTING Serbia's territorial integrity, while Russia's military intervention in Ukraine to support the Donbass's claim to independence an example of total violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity? Why is one 100% acceptable and to be applauded, in International Law, and the other a war crime?
1
@FrankWinchester looks like you are incapable or unwilling to answer my question. cat got your tongue? all my claims are correct, so let's see you answer my question.
1
@FrankWinchester you have corrected me on nothing, you just can't answer the question. pathetic.
1
@FrankWinchester not at all. it doesn't matter how many nations recognize a breakaway country, as long as there is one supporting nation of some standing. so, to repeat, Northern Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey, and the fact that the rest of the globe has refused to recognize Northern Cyprus has made no difference at all to the lives of the people who live in Northern Cyprus. They have successfully broken away from the Republic of Cyprus and that's that. Life in Northern Cyprus would be no different if 10, 20, or 150 countries recognized Northern Cyprus.
1
@FrankWinchester fifth time of asking. going to answer my question? the one that no one in the West can answer logically and completely? Go on, Frank, give it your best shot!
1
@FrankWinchester time to grow up, Frank, and answer the question. your refusal to do so reveals how empty your arguments are. 7 years old are you?
1
@FrankWinchester as I said before, your inability to answer my question speaks volumes. you have shown exactly why the world despises the "Rules Bases System" of the West, because when asked to explain a certain glaring contradiction, you can't even address the issue. anything else I can correct you on, kid?
1
@FrankWinchester the only person publicly conceding anything is you. your refusal to address my question is publicly conceding you have no clue!
