using old shells does NOT imply Russia is running out of ammunition. it just implies it has a lot of old shells to use.

@bradhombre6912 that's right. using old ammo = Russia is running out. using new ammo = Russia is running out. using imported ammo = Russia is running out. we've heard this month after month. it's pathetic.

Russia's buying artillery from Iran and N Korea does NOT show that Russian stocks are running low. It shows that Russia has secured a bargain deal and will most likely exchange nuclear technology to both countries for every missile both Iran and N Korea can add to Russia's massive stockpile. Russia must keep some back for when they have to dish it out to NATO.

@xavariusquest4603 and for months we have heard the same nonsense over and over again. old ammo = Russia running short new ammo = Russia running short imported ammo = Russia running short repurposed munitions = Russia running short it's called wishful thinking, just hope, and NATO is reduced to hope as a strategy. it's truly pathetic.

"why not use less?" Ukraine has been using about one sixth of what Russia has been using for the last year! Using LESS will dislodge the Russians and lead to the recapture of Crimea?

it's irrelevant that Russia is running out of ammo if Ukraine is running out faster. On the day Ukraine has nothing left to fire, Russia wins, no matter how depleted Russia's stocks are. N Korea and Iran have slave labor to keep cranking out what Russia might need, today. NATO is only talking about new contracts for projects to extend ammo production, way into the future. NATO has to keep talking up Russian depletion....it's the only way to distract from the one important fact...NATO's cupboard is bare.

@sebasstein7014 unless you know how much Russia started with (which you don't), unless you know how much Russia has since produced (which you don't), and unless you know how much Russia has imported (which you don't), you can't possibly know if Russia is running out of anything, so put the crystal ball away and deal with facts.
2
@sebasstein7014 importing drones from Iran indicates some kind of shortage in Russia? Really? You don't think it indicates Russia got a really good deal from Iran in exchange for selling nuclear technology?
2
@barrylane1055 it is called logic. you are supposed to counter it by pointing out what I said makes no sense. To me, Russia getting loads of cheap drones and missiles from Iran and N Korea in exchange for nuclear technology and nuclear supplies makes sense.

@barrylane1055 and I responded, that joining the dots is not an exercise that requires a source! half the chocolate cake is missing, crumbs lead to the bedroom of my nephew, there is a smear of chocolate around his mouth, I conclude that my nephew ate half the chocolate cake, now you tell me, what was my source?

@shovonhasan7404 interesting. Putin said "all Ukrainians will die"? would love to see that transcript.

@gandalfstormcrow8439 remember, Lloyd Austin, "the aim is to weaken Russia". it's NATO that doesn't care how much Ukronazi cannon fodder bites the dust, as long as Russia is weakened.
1
@Lowezar absolute nonsense. there are 101 reasons why old stock might be used, and 101 reasons why brand new stock might be used. unless you are aware of the whole production and supply process in Russia, and you are not, you would have no idea why old stock, new stock and the middle age stock is being used. so, put your crystal ball down and just be aware that NATO is in panic because Ukraine is burning through its ammo at a rate far higher than NATO can supply. We have been told for nearly a year that Russia is running out, but we simply don't know what Russian stocks look like.
1
@sebasstein7014 oh, apart from nuclear weapons. those North Korean nukes might be of some importance, right?
1
@sebasstein7014 it is irrelevant when Russia runs out of anything. what is relevant is if Russia runs out before or after NATO. It's NATO that is in panic, staring into an empty warehouse. not Russia.
