If NATO had spent as much energy on ramping up ammunition production as it spent on shouting "Russia is running out of ammunition", then Ukraine might be in a slightly better position.

@Tabula_Rasa1 NATO is not ramping up production. NATO is only talking up ramping up production. No new contracts or orders have been issued, and the complexities of extending production of missiles is a major problem. there is no on/off switch for such production. it takes years of adjustments and investments.

@Pifagorass Russians don't care about messaging. Russians care about eliminating the enemy, and that project is going well. Keep focused on messaging please. it helps the Russian side.

@Pifagorass 2nd largest military in the world decided to do a LOT more than occupy Donetsk! Read the list of Putin's 5 objectives! Russia takes years to achieve its objectives, but it succeeds (Chechnya, Syria, Georgia). unlike USA, 20 years in Afghanistan and then surrender to the Taliban.

@anthonyamaro1771 the vast majority of Americans may well be granted their wish if they keep provoking Russia. "they're", not "their" Russia crossed the line when they invaded a sovereign nation? So, Russia merely copied what USA did in Iraq (twice), Afghansistan, Syria, Panama, Grenada etc etc

Russian set-back? every day Russia kills more Ukrainian soldiers than Russia loses it is a step forward. This is a war of attrition. When Ali went 6 rounds fighting rope a dope, how was that a set-back for him?
