Comments by "duncan smith" (@duncansmith7562) on "Why this years extreme weather conditions have scientists in shock | DW News" video.
Hottest recorded temperature in Portugal was in the 1930's. 100 years later with tons of CO2 in the atmosphere, summer temps in Portugal are lower. More evidence that as you add CO2, temperatures go down. Fires happen every summer, and even more so as arson becomes more popular.

@tubecated_development but of course, after the raw data has been "adjusted" and the numbers manipulated. hence, "hide the decline" from Climategate, remember? now, for the sake of argument, let's take that 2003 number as the previous high. explain why, for 20 years after that 2003 high, with ever more CO2 in the atmosphere, the record was NOT broken year after year after year.

just consider not living close to forests, as people did in the past.
1
what's shocking is so many suckers falling for the global warming myth.
1
@Dorr234 even in Hawaii there are arsonists
1
@Dorr234 either arson or human negligence. In nature, such fires can only occur through volcanic eruptions or lightning strikes. any reports of those two in the area? on the other hand, Portuguese authorities are looking for over 600 people in connection with these fires! Probably arson, don't you think?
1
@Dorr234 hurricanes don't cause fires! for a fire, you need a spark! I repeat, in nature, only volcanic activity or a lightning bolt can possibly cause a fire, and those two are VERY rare! otherwise, humans started the fire. find out why more and more arsonists are active and you will discover why we have more wild fires.

burning dead and decaying trees is good for the environment. always has been.

@starlightHT if the Portuguese forests are well managed, then, yes, focus should be put on what people are doing in these forests in summer.
1
@starlightHT I'm in France, on the Mediterranean, 30 kms from Spanish border. we have 2 out of the 3. human stupidity, and 6 months without rain. there have been one or two local, small fires, nothing dramatic at all. Temperatures normal to on the cool side. one night we got close to hitting a record low, about 2 weeks ago.

what about the heat records in the 1930's, you know, the decade the climate scientists ignore?

@tubecated_development I always reply to whatever pops up under my Notifications, but not all replies appear under "Notifications". Surely you have noticed that? Also, don't discount the fact I may have sent a reply that you never saw, or which you never received.

@michael-muller Thank you, USA
1
@tubecated_development and you complain to me about not replying!
1
@tubecated_development tell me what I am supposed to respond to! I commented that the climate alarmists go out of their way to leave out 1930's data, and I don't see anyone replying to me with a rebuttal!
1
not as expensive as addressing global warming with pointless and ineffective green policies.
1
@tubecated_development truth hurts, eh? curious you are unable to point out anything idiotic about the comment:)

because utilities are not subject to free market competition. they are regulated by the government.
