Mike Martin, the pro Ukraine propagandist, "forgot" to mention the 3rd possible reason for Putin's statement, namely, the missile strikes had disabled Ukrainian infrastructure to the point where Russia no longer feels the imminent threat of the much -vaunted Zaporozhe counter offensive.

@coolfed8688 no need to do that. the idiotic statement we are all replying to was that "Putin does the exact opposite of what he says". Only one case of where Putin did what he said he would do refutes the dumb statement. Putin said he would hold referenda in the Russian occupied zones. He did that. QED. Similarly, if you think Biden does the exact opposite of what he says, Biden says he would take down the Nordstream pipeline if Russia invaded Ukraine. And that's what he did. agreed?

@coolfed8688 Putin said the ruble would recover and the Russian economy would survive the sanctions. He got that right, and more. As I said, you need to listen to Putin more, and very carefully. He's a clear-thinking leader.
