@PeterSedesse Russia was not forced to abandon Kherson. Russia chose to abandon Kherson, because supplying the west bank of the Dnipro had become a nightmare, and the evacuation of all ethnic Russians that accepted the invitation to move to Russia had been completed. After 15 months of war, how much closer is Ukraine now to retaking Crimea?

@PeterSedesse on the contrary, the question of Crimea was NOT a major obstacle to progress in the Istanbul talks. Recognizing Crimea as part of Russia would be a major step Ukraine could take to starting a peace process. It is more likely that NATO would much prefer Ukraine to be wiped off the map, of course, just as long as Russia gets slightly weakened in the process. Crimea will remain Russian. everyone knows that. it's just so hard for NATO to say that out loud because it has boxed itself into an embarrassing corner.

@PeterSedesse what should really concern NATO is that after arming and training the ukronazis for the last 9 years, and after pouring in so much high tech weaponry, whenever the two sides face each other toe to toe, street by street, the Russians win, every time. whether led by Chechens, DPR, LPR, Wagner demoralized and poorly trained convicts, same result, ukrobazis lose. Mariupol, Soledar, Severodonetsk, now Bakhmut. Ukraine always loses head to head. that is what is causing panic among NATO leadership. and rightfully so.

@PeterSedesse just hilarious that democracy and rule of law gives the green light to two invasions of Iraq, one of Afghanistan, one of Syria, massive bombing attacks of Libya and Serbia, and just say the words "white lives matter" in these wonderful democracies, or "Islam sucks" and see what happens to you! Anyone who is on the side of the ukronazis and wants Kiev to have the power to compel ethnic Russians to remain under Kiev's diktats are immoral and deserve condemnation. Yes, many of us stand against the G7. the BRICS era is here.

@PeterSedesse NATO supported Ghani until it decided to cut and run from Afghanistan. NATO support is meaningless. Russia has no problem with no peace deal. Russia is more than happy to destroy all of Ukraine and then impose conditions on Ukraine, and NATO is fine with this too, because it is not NATO lads getting massacred, and as Lloyd Austin says, the aim is to weaken Russia, so every day Russia has to expend time and money killing ukronazi cannon fodder is a good day for NATO too.

@PeterSedesse and all the billions of weaponry sent to Ukraine just gets destroyed. why do you think Zelensky is always begging for more? two nights ago, the ukronazis fired off 30 Patriot missiles, to no effect. The US only makes 250 of those things A YEAR! each one costs 100,000 dollars or so! Germany and USA can keep sending billions and billions of taxpayers money to Ukraine in the form of weapons, it will all get destroyed. Russia's eyes in the sky do a fantastic job of locating, targeting, eliminating.

@PeterSedesse so, overall, Peter, you would say the war is going very well for Ukraine? the sanctions have crippled Russia and the Russian ability to wage war? the Ukrainians are clearly winning on the battlefield? after 15 months, you would say Ukraine is in great shape? nothing at all to be concerned about?

@PeterSedesse anyway, for those of us who support the rights of the Donbass people to separate from Kiev, I'm sure you can understand the news of the fall of Bakhmut is on a par with the news of the fall of Mariupol a year ago. Quite why you guys believe Kiev has the right to force Russian speakers to live in a derussified, Ukrainian speaking only state is a mystery to us, but in the end I feel you will see you were on the wrong side of history. @PeterSedesse oh dear. you missed a LOT of news! following the 2014 coup, both the Lugansk and Donetsk oblasts voted to separate from Kiev and become the LPR and DPR, then last year both voted to become part of the Russian Federation. it's something called "democracy". so, i guess your support for Kiev is because you are 100% sure the majority of Donbass citizens, although Russian speaking, want to live in a Ukraine where their children are compelled to be educated in Ukrainian and use only Ukrainian in official settings? Have you ever been to Ukraine?

@PeterSedesse only 5% of Switzerland speaks Italian as a native language, but that 5% have the right to be educated and to use Italian where they so choose. Italian is recognized as an official language. Do you agree with that, or do you think only Swiss German should be allowed to be used as an official language in all of Switzerland? Just strip the Italian speakers of Switzerland of their language rights?
