Scholz realizes that the game is up. His military leaders have told him the tanks won't change anything and that the Germans can't afford to keep supplying weapons. Scholz has an eye on the opinion poll that says 49% of Germans DON'T want German tanks going to Ukraine. But Scholz is a weak weasel, so though he sees how futile the war is, he has no guts to stand up and say it.

@moiseshuerta3984 100% agree. Time for Germany to bow out and figure out its absurdly high energy bills, not how to kill more people in eastern Europe.

Western leaders said the sanctions would cripple Russia. They got it wrong. They said Russia would become isolated. They got it wrong. They said Western arms would turn the tide. They got it wrong. The West is powerless to defend Ukrainian air space and Russia is going to demilitarize both Ukraine and NATO. The West didn't do its homework. Russia did.
