No, Mike, what is happening in Bakhmut is that a bunch of convicts you described as low in morale, badly trained, and badly supplied, poorly led, are defeating NATO trained, armed and advised Ukrainian battalions. same as happens EVERY time Ukrainian forces fight street by street against Russia.....Mariupol, Popasnaya, Lyzychansk, Severodonetsk, Soledar, Pesky, now Bakhmut. The Russian meatgrinder filling up those Ukrainian cemeteries in remarkably quick fashion.

  2. there is no solution to the problem that NATO has no more weapons top give. "procurement" is just a fancy word for re-structuring the whole arms industry in the West and spending billions on weapons that Ukraine needs yesterday. It is no solution. Sending Ukraine every single weapon that NATO already has would successfully demilitarize NATO, one of the big aims of Russia. there is no solution and the EU knows it. these leaders are just dancing around the subject rather than admit defeat

  3. peace in Ukraine would end up just perfectly for Europe. Russia's demands should have been met last year, Ukraine to be neutral, demilitarized, denazified, Crimea and Donbass to become part of Russia. Putin has been in power for decades and never once threatened any advance in Europe. All this panic about "Ukraine is just the beginning" is absolute nonsense.
