Ukraine's steady withdrawals and retreats means it is well on the way to liberating Crimea, right?
9
this is just hilarious. talking of a planned Ukraine offensive in Zaporozhe when, as we speak, it is Russia advancing in Zaporozhe, the Kremina offensive stalled months ago and it is Russia closing in on Siversk. So funny this old dolt assumes Ukraine still has experienced tank crews after so many of them died in their metal coffins over the last 11 months.
9
@Robert-xy4xi so true. NATO was so sure the sanctions would work and that Russia would not stay and fight. oh dear. NATO got it wrong. now what do we do?
9
right, so Russia suffered horrendous humiliation and defeats on the ground when it used flexible warfare to pull out of Kherson and Kharkov, but Zelensky pulling out of Bakhmut would be a tactical maneuver to save troops and weaponry for future battles. Got it.
9
Even propagandist Bell knows that repeating "shaping operations" now we are in week FIVE sounds bloody ridiculous.
9
but not drugged up so much he couldn't react with lightening precision to get out of the airbnb when the neighbor rang the doorbell
9
and now, the truth. after 6 days of this failed counter-offensive, Ukraine has sustained massive losses in both men and weaponry. Yes, Leopard 2's and Bradleys have been destroyed. No territory has been gained, and at no point along the front has Ukraine/NATO punched through this Russian forward position. The Russian defence lines have not seen any action, because the Russian forward forces have smashed the enemy. Just a question of how long it will take NATO to understand the futility of this attack.
9
"Moscow's indiscriminate use of violence"...oh, in the name of fair and balanced coverage, will the next report mention the deaths yesterday in Donetsk of those shelled by Ukraine's indiscriminate attack, or is the idea to stick with the propaganda approach and just report one side?
8
Farage is the one that understands the nation's problems best.
8
agreed, Ukronazi shelling of the Zaporozhe plant will continue, so that could be the next Ukrainian war crime.
8
remember the days when Clarke and Bell were banging on about low Russian morale, poor Russian equipment, bad Russian leadership? Since Soledar they gave up those talking points.
8
Given that the aim is to weaken Russia, according to Lloyd Austin, the Ukraine project is going well, because despite the kill rate of 7:1 in Russia's favor, Ukraine is still stupid enough to keep fighting until all Ukrainians are dead, and Russia is slightly weakened.
8
it meant we CHOOSE to control our own borders if we so wish, as opposed to having no control of our borders. We just need a government with the wisdom to decide HOW we control our borders. I would suggest goods arriving from the EU don't need to be checked. I would suggest immigrants arriving by dinghy do need to be checked. .
8
Odessa is dear to the hearts of ethnic Russians, was the scene of the Union House Massacre, is on a valuable coastal stretch, and would link nicely with Transnistria...my bet is Russia will insist on Odessa and Kharkov at least.
8
next time, mention the fact that Ukraine gained Kherson city, only to have to evacuate it and lose yet even more troops in the Russian artillery onslaught from the safety of the left bank. A Russian trap, beautifully executed.
8
so much for "living with covid" policy, back to futile rules and restrictions
8
@jeckjeck3119 on the contrary. sacrificing tens of thousands of troops in a futile attempt to retain Bakhmut means defeat. Had Zelensky followed U.S. advice to do what Russia did in Kherson and Kharkov, a strategic withdrawal, the Ukronazis would be in a better position today.
8
@TheTomexification assuming the priority was to take the village over feeding as many Ukrainian teenage recruits into the Wagner meatgrinder as possible. in the end, three birds with one stone, Soledar taken, thousands of Ukronazis shredded, and the convicts doing much of the heavy work. Mission accomplished.
8
"looking at making advances" = failing to make advances. everything these days is Russia making advances and Ukraine failing to make advances
8
"the only big city the Russians have taken"...except Mariupol is much bigger, and Severodonetsk ain't tiny.
8
@anjalicgirl the Kerch Bridge has nothing to do with Ukraine. The Kerch Bridge was built after Crimea voted to, and indeed became, part of the Russian Federation. Only in your fantasy world does the Kerch Bridge have any connection with Ukraine. Time to wake up, honey.
7
"his family say they are in a living nightmare" his family are a living nightmare.
7
who would have ever thought that printing money in abundance, paying healthy people to stay home and not work, increasing debt and sanctioning Russia would lead to rampant inflation and real pay decreases?
7
@thomasbaader6629 funny, then, how everything McGregor has said has come true!
7
@henkhenk7467 one km a day + 1000 Ukrainian casualties a day...give the full picture:)
7
Get it right! ffs. Jay never said to anyone that he intended to walk to Los Cristianos.
7
The best thing Lithuania can do to minimize Russian aggression is to start treating its ethnic Russians with fairness and equality. Ditto Latvia.
7
even if the ukronazis did it? we give them a free pass, don't we?
7
especially to those Russian speaking Ukrainians defending their Donbass homeland
7
i agree. given the hilarious propaganda he spouts, it's fun to see him twist and turn and try to explain how Ukraine is winning every time.
7
they'll just get destroyed.. Russian air defences are excellent.
7
so calling up reservists is "desperation" (I guess USA and UK were both "desperate" when they did the same thing for Afghanistan and Iraq) but Ukraine's forbidding any male under 60 from leaving Ukraine and instituting full mobilization is...well...NOT desperate?
7
"they're not military targets to why does Russia keep doing it?" ask NATO, as NATO did the same in Serbia, and USA did the same in Iraq. Russia should be applauded for copying the "rules based international order" to perfection.
7
translation - The Wagners have won and the Ukronazis have been kicked out of Bakhmut. The ukronazis in Chasov Yar are now bricking it. There is no evidence of any counter offensive brewing, just incessant morale boosting talk of a counter offensive. the demoralized drunken convicts armed with just shovels have kicked out the NATO armed and trained Bandera battalions. end of report.
7
not yet. how many will get destroyed before they see action on the front lines?
7
"after repeated defeats elsewhere" when the kill rate is 8:1 in Russia's favor, every day is a victory for Russia.
7
remind me, sanctions against Russia were supposed to cripple the Russian economy and effect a change in leadership, or supposed to cripple the British economy and effect a change in leadership?
7
it's "expert" analysis like this twaddle that tells me Russia is winning.
7
@richardbutler2749 a reflection of your warped mind
7
@tomarmstrong1281 The UK alone has a prime minister that was never voted in as PM by the voters, and a Foreign Secretary who received zero votes to represent the UK citizens in the last election.
7
What, Russia is advancing during the great Ukrainian Spring counter offensive? Send more Javelins! (oh wait, that was last year's battle cry)
7
Ukraine never had any nuclear weapons. The USSR had all nuclear weapons.
6
if this is the result of climate change, i want more of it. keep spewing out more CO2 everyone, my January days here in Spain are feeling wonderful.
6
"back safely in Ukrainian hands" - oxymoron
6
Totally explains why Sweden and Germany said they could not announce findings "for security reasons" (an ally is responsible). Totally explains why Liz Truss was bundled out of power too.
6
"the leadership of the Western powers have remained united over this conflict" Scholz would disagree, having been bullied into escalating the death and destruction in Ukraine, and the people feel quite differently from the leaders. Ordinary people are more focused on poverty and inflation. Outside of the West, many are hoping Russia wins or they just don't care.
6
so Russia is still on the back foot, and Ukraine is winning, but now Russia is advancing across Zaporozhe, Vugledar and around Bakhmut. hmm
6
the call from the US, to withdraw and fight another day and to save lives and weaponry, came only 6 months too late. NATO living up to its Kabul 2021 reputation.
6
bullshit. "operational silence" means Ukraine is a spent force. weapons supply down to a trickle, the Kherson offensive petered out weeks ago, Ukraine has nothing more to throw at Russia in these parts. the referenda are going ahead without any disruptions. Russia has won.
6
looks like her body fat should give pretty good insulation from the cold. was that two or three sugars she heaped into her free cup of tea?
