@bottomhat2534 just like all the weaponry Ukraine had at the beginning of the conflict, Russia will find it and destroy it. get real.
3
all the leaders are united....keep impoverishing the citizens of the G7 by throwing tax payers' money at a futile attempt to beat Russia in a land war, until the last Ukrainian is dead and Putin dictates how the surrender looks. Got it. Any wonder why people now focus on whatever sanity pay come out of the BRICS group rather than G7?
3
Russia tried to take Kiev? Russia conspicuously AVOIDED trying to take Kiev! Russia bombarded and pinned down countless Ukrainian forces while Russian troops in the south seized Kherson and Zaporozhe unopposed! Learn the basics!
3
the very fact this discussion is happening shows just how much Russia is free compared to Scotland.
3
@titteryenot4524 so no worries at all then about NATO supplies to Ukraine, even though Biden said "we have to send cluster bombs because our stocks of 155mm shells are so low"?
3
much more money should be sent to Ukraine. that will help our NHS recover
3
Gotta laugh at the MOD's term "illegal invasion of Ukraine", as if NATO's bombing of sovereign Serbia and Libya was all perfectly legal.
3
As Amnesty International pointed out, Ukronazis use human shields, so the missile attack on Avdiivka may well have been targetting troops and/or weaponry. Fair game.
3
just laughable. NATO is sending whatever it can lay its hands on in pure desperation. Sending tanks is an admission that NATO doesn't have the missiles and rockets to win the war of attrition and that himars failed. Now the idea is to turn this into a tank battle. Russia already destroyed Ukraine's massive tank fleet months ago. If 25% of these tanks actually make it to the front lines it will be a miracle.
3
@wamingo Russians feel that huge parts of Ukraine ARE Russia. NATO in Ukraine, to most Russians, means kissing bye bye, forever, to Crimea, Odessa, Kharkov, Donbass and other areas that Russians consider historically Russian. Bit like asking why the Americans felt nuclear weapons being shipped to Cuba by Kruschev threatened the existence of USA.
3
@smitty347 when the Soviet Union collapsed, no one was in any position to contest where Russia starts or ends. Most Russians were ok with Ukraine as a sovereign state, as long as the ethnic Russians were treated fairly, which they were, up to the nationalist coup of 2014. After 2014 the ethnic Russians were treated as inferiors and discriminated against, so that is when Russians started to fight to have either autonomy or be independent. The West should have supported this.
3
@Marvhead if USA wants to continue to exist then it should withdraw from Syrian territory. If NATO wants to continue to exist then it should withdraw from Kosovar territory.
3
@rogerpennel1798 the first batch of British soldiers arriving home in body bags will see Britain looking for PM number 4 for the year
3
Hirohito thought the Allies were bluffing too.
3
@andrasnemeth8333 just curious....who would be videoing underwater in the middle of the night in the expectation that something might blow up on the dam wall?
3
As we speak, climate "scientists", with no agenda at all, are setting up their thermometers at Ajaccio airport, directly underneath where the planes take off, to make sure Sardinia does indeed record that highest ever temperature in Europe.
3
@teleguy5699 i would never expect your child's mind to understand the difference between a declaration of war and a limited special military operation, so let's leave it there, junior.
3
interesting that Clarke confesses Ukraine had no sense of nationhood before the war. Clarke not bright enough to realize this lack of nationhood led to the derussification of the whole of Ukraine in a desperate bid to find an identity. Sadly, the only sense of nationhood Ukraine could fine was "we are not Russian, look, we erased all Russian culture and compelled everyone to speak Ukrainian"....the very heart of why war broke out. should have left the Russian speakers alone.
3
Social Darwinism. Not the brightest civilians that think it is a really good idea to mingle with NATO mercenaries in the pizzeria next to the Hotel NATO, just a few kilometers away from the front line.
3
@davidk2906 maybe so, but present the world with all of your evidence that proves Trump is, and Biden isn't. cue crickets.
3
his English is certainly better than his Ukrainian
3
@ByddinRhyddidCymru so true. not much point in begging in Ukrainian to his own oligarchs.
3
@zytoses9223 and English is what he uses 24/7 to keep begging to continue his futile war, so yes, it is understandable.
3
By the time Ukraine joins the EU, how many refugees will be living outside Ukraine? How many of Ukraine's young men will be dead and buried? Will the EU still exist?
3
and now the truth....after a full week of the counter offensive, thousands of Ukraine cannon fodder have died, Western wonder weaponry destroyed, but zero territorial gains made and the ukronazis are nowhere near reaching even the FIRST Russian defence line. absolute disaster for Ukraine/NATO. Roll on those images of Bradleys and Leopards getting destroyed. heartening.
3
if the Kerch Bridge is "vital" and of such strategic importance, how did Crimea survive for 4 years with no land bridge to Russia AND no Kerch Bridge?
3
It's dreadfully tough for Donbass its people and forces... keep strong I'm sure your day will come
3
sanctions on Russia is crucial, isolating Russia is crucial, stingers and javelins are crucial, himars is crucial, tanks are crucial, fighter jets are crucial, a limited number of NATO pilots is crucial, a limited number of NATO ground forces are crucial, supplying Ukraine with all our armed forces is crucial. at least Germany has woken up to how this tragedy unfolds.
3
Ditto, Slava Donbasu, Slava Rossiyi
3
Putin's only mistake was to have not invaded in 2014, at the start of the war, and to have believed the West wanted to abide by the Minsk Agreements.
3
12 tanks are a "major boost to Ukraine's firepower"....the West has become so deluded, it is sad. just a question of when and how the West's leaders accept that Ukraine cannot win this conflict. It will be fun to watch the recriminations though.
3
I don't, unless those decent people voted for Zemmour and his anti immigrant stance. Those decent people voted for the policy of continued immigration that is now ruining their lives. Slow learners.
2
Great, Bradleys on the way for Russia to destroy, as demilitarization of NATO rolls on.
2
dream on. Staromayoeske is in the gray zone and until Ukraine reaches the first defence line they have no idea of the horrors awaiting them.
2
@far_centrist well said. too many Western sheep believe their own lies and propaganda. that's why the media in the West bans Putin's actual words from being aired.
2
further south, same day. in Tarifa, it was cool, temperatures similar to a normal January. Sky has to keep cherry picking to push its propaganda and lies.
2
"the Ukrainians may well be able to operate an amphibious landing across the Dnipro again" right, so there was a strong motive for the Ukrainians to flood the area. wash away the land mines and trenches, thus facilitating an amphibious landing. more evidence that Ukraine had every reason to blow the dam.
2
Russia is winning. grasp reality
2
@kierano8390 NATO has no choice. NATO lost
2
all those armoured vehicles, manned by teenagers and pensioners on 2 weeks training, no air support, no ammo. this counter offensive is most welcome........to Russia
2
"they're arriving with minimal training"...some of these guys are not long out of contract after serving in bloody Syria! Safe to say, they've had training and then some!
2
so now we have two Green Parties. The fake Greens that see weakening Russia as the priority over environmental concerns, and the Real Greens who want to ruin everyone's life in a futile attempt to tackle climate change. Good to know.
2
Was George W Bush arrested for the unprovoked and illegal invasion of Iraq?
2
Then Ukraine will have peace terms imposed on it when Russia wins.
2
just as it was with the Nordstream terrorist attack, right?
2
mass immigration = much more demand on health services.
2
the only question remaining is that at what point Zelensky realizes the West cannot and will not supply enough help to prevent Russia winning.
2
the 15th massive missile strike. After the third massive missile strike, the expert Ben Wallace announced that Russia didn't have enough missiles to continue with such strikes. In October, Rishi Sunak said a super air defence system was on its way to Ukraine to prevent such strikes. When will the West wake up to the fact that their leaders are incompetent liars?
2
Peace is also possible when Russia wins and Ukraine is reduced to rubble and ashes
2
Sky News spins the reality that Biden will lose control of the House and maybe the Senate
