@JohnDoeEagle1 If someone is attacking you, it doesn't matter if they're armed or not, they're still a threat to be neutralized. Would you put a bodega clerk in jail because he stabbed an unarmed assailant?

@JohnDoeEagle1 That particular case is a travesty, the guy who was shot was clearly in the wrong having illegally parked in a handicapped space and pushed the much older man over and advanced on him to potentially do further harm when he was confronted about his wrongdoing. The guy who shot him should not have been convicted of anything, let alone manslaughter. I find it funny you bring that case up as an example of anything when all it shows is a miscarriage of justice. The truth is if someone attacks you, it doesn't matter what weapons they have at the ready, you are fully within your rights to shoot them to neutralize such a threat, whether the law agrees with what's right or not.
