It makes me sad when I hear about people committing suicide, but I feel like we should count those stats differently. I also kind of feel like it's the ultimate exercise in proving bodily autonomy, as they can choose when to die. Sort of like the exact opposite of a baby in the womb who has absolutely no bodily autonomy.

@randyjon224 Yeah, vote like your lives depend on it because they do, but your vote still won't be counted if it's not for her. So either get out of town while you still can, or prepare for a fight.
48
If such a bill existed, every politician would be in court constantly fending off lawsuits. Might make the world a better place.
37
@herbderbler1585 Indeed. We need to take back our government from bureaucrats.
36
I too heard those theories as a child and I too wish they would come true.
35
Yeah, that's the only reason to report it, because it's almost assuredly a trap.
33
Prison time for public officials who knowingly violate the constitution. Definitely needed.
31
I'm inclined to say that it's evil. They want control and they'll have it by any means necessary. Also, one note, it's wreaking havoc, not wrecking.
25
@ElegantSkies No, murder implies intent. If you intend on killing a human who poses you no threat, that is murder. And the relevance for baby murder being brought up is that including the unborn in the stats would show that that is the real number one cause of children dying.
24
@ElegantSkies Using synonyms won't change the fact that it's still murder.
23
This is why it's so important that we never let ourselves be disarmed.
21
@randyjon224 I hope you have a healthy supply of freedom seeds and a fully stocked bunker. Of course, if you have anything registered, that may not be enough.
20
Hopefully someone gets a case before the SC and gets the NFA and GCA and all the other bovine excrement infringements nullified. The average citizen should have access to the exact same weaponry that the government has access to with monetary capability being the only determinant for whether they can own it. If you have to ask why, then you don't know why the second amendment was written.
20
It always freaks me out when I do things like that. I know it's good, but having no memory of doing something that you've practiced thousands of times just feels wrong.
19
That's because it is such an awesome design. Just look at how many calibers they come in as well.
18
@bobbysixty Maybe, or we'll see how many votes can be printed. Either way, the courts will almost certainly strike these unconstitutional infringements down.
17
This is why we need to reform our gun laws. You should be able to take a sawed off shotgun and defend your castle with it. That monstrosity he was using is an impediment to the safety of you and your family, and a handgun yields too much penetration, even with hollow points. Consider a missed shot going through drywall and into your child's bedroom.
15
You've just described every conversation I've had with a leftist in the past 20 years. Convincing someone of the truth when they've been led to believe a pack of lies is one of the hardest things to do. It's akin to deprogramming a cult member.
14
@amihere383 Are you new to guns? It's when the barrel hinges down allowing the shells to be loaded/unloaded directly. Useful for very long shells that won't fit in your average pump action shotgun.
14
Indeed, but it's not surprising because it is Austin after all. It's almost a whole other planet.
13
@mememagicisreal884 If you can't shoot straight, get out of the way and let those who can do the right thing.
11
I'm not entirely sure I agree, as you do have a right to movement and the method should not be restricted, but at the same time, you're absolutely right that you interact with a car far more than you do with a gun, even if you're a regular gun user. And as we have seen, a car can be even deadlier than a gun in the wrong hands. 86 people dead and 434 injured in Nice just 6 years ago.
11
When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
11
When I was in school, only schools in big cities had metal detectors and guards. Most schools in my area had neither. I can't imagine how crazy it is for kids these days because there aren't any that I'm aware of that don't have both now. And it's all shadow theater because they're not safer for it. Students and teachers must be allowed to carry to protect themselves.
9
@jnagarya519 It's not based on current law, it's what I want to happen and my prediction for the result. Surely you understand how that works?
9
@dimitri246 Do you even understand the false equivalency you just spewed? It's not laughing at dead children or him talking about dead children.
9
Hopefully it'd be contained to just the blue states.
9
@doughesson Nope, the woman you talked to was undoubtedly glowing. You might need glasses.
9
@Cacowninja If someone bursts in while you're on the shitter, what do you do?
9
@maddog7999 Sure, tell that to the cops going to prison for decades for a clean shoot on a criminal who was actively committing a crime.
9
@Wolf88888 You're either implying the elections are rigged or you're saying they're stupid in a completely different way. One will get you branded a conspiracy theorist, the other will have you lumped in with the rest. Which is it?
9
Now, how do we get the politicians to listen and respect us? I'm thinking wind chimes, but I'll accept any good ideas.
9
I hope the answer is 'no', but the question that keeps springing into my head is, can they suppress the truth long enough that there won't be a generation that has anyone knowledgeable enough to know it?
9
Hopefully he's okay after this event. Even if he hadn't killed two of them it would affect him. Potentially giving him PTSD just for being attacked in his own home. If he's not okay, hopefully he can work through it.
8
I would bet good money that he's got at least one gun in his house, if not more.
8
I can't believe that dodo thought it was okay to say the quiet part out loud. It can only be explained as malice at this point.
8
@kevinshumaker3753 I'd say everyone needs to move. Seems as though Kommifornia is hostile towards all citizens.
8
@RealMTBAddict You have no right to indiscriminately murder people using a nuclear bomb. I disagree that you have no right to own one.
8
Best line I've heard in a long time.
7
@2tally Gr8 Politicians that propose these things are a good reason to not only stockpile but in multiple places as well and to have unregistered guns as well. If it's not registered they don't know it exists and can't have it on a list to take it away.
6
@Ghostyfrost9688 Everywhere that it's warm. Also have to watch out for rattlesnakes and pumas and coyotes. In some places you have to watch out for other humans, but that's only in the cities. Best to avoid cities.
6
@iamtheoffenderofall True, but you shouldn't need to hide what's morally justified, and if your actions get discovered later you'll be crucified. This world has gone so far backwards and I very much want off of this planet.
6
@invaderzim1265 They do it to anyone that upsets their order. Makes me fear for all the gun-tubers that speak out.
6
I thought Bidiot renamed it the AFT?
6
@aliciawarren644 Unless and/or until they're forcibly removed from office, they won't even consider making such changes.
6
Indeed, people in other countries often don't even think that self defense is a right. Look at the UK where you can spend more time in prison for shooting an intruder than the intruder would if they killed you and were caught. I'd like a Brit to explain how that makes even the tiniest lick of sense.
6
@iiscd5970 Makes me wish I could downvote to get back to 69.
6
@jefferyjones5167 Yeah, and they would benefit from more gun control because they'd have less competition for work. The barrier to entry for becoming a bodyguard would be higher as well which would mean even less competition. Since they've already got theirs they want everyone else to be deprived.
6
@LARRYCAL I wish times were still that innocent. I think kids should be learning gun safety in schools, even how to shoot. But this all presupposes that parents do their job and teach their kids discipline and right from wrong.
5
He's not even the funniest one either. There's one that has a degree in economics but doesn't understand the most basic of economic facts. I would never let my children go to the school that one graduated from.
