  2. I don't think I'm alone in this thought, but I think that unless you're in prison you should be allowed to carry. No crime should remove your rights unless you're in prison, and at that point it should be obvious that prisoners don't have the same rights as others, but once you're out, you should be free. If someone is so dangerous that they shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun, they should still be in prison, plain as that.

  3. Why not. Freedom of movement is a right, and the means by which you exercise that right shouldn't matter and shouldn't be licensed. The same is true of self defense, it is a right and the means by which you exercise that right shouldn't matter. If you want to stop innocent people from dying, clean up the schools, in particular get rid of Marxist teachers and administrators and encourage two parent households with a mother and father when children are involved. Teach people morals and less murder would occur, or just keep trying useless laws that criminals won't obey that restrict the rights of all and ignore the actual cause of the violence. And note I said violence, not "gun violence", which is an idiotic and insulting term meant to obscure the real problem.
