Up until you said "teachers" with respect to ability to discipline I was with you. When I was in school I was sucker punched by a bully and pushed to the ground and beat. Did he get punished for this? Nope. But I sure got a paddling. I've been painfully aware for far too long that our schools have gone entirely left and if they were allowed to punish anyone would punish the abused just like our legal system does. Discipline needs to be doled out by those of good morals, unfortunately, that excludes most of humanity.

@sunshinerays2747 Indeed, and these days I've seen people be convicted on faulty evidence and in some cases no evidence at all. The death penalty is too final of a punishment, especially when there's doubt.
