The fact that the company refuses to fix the code and has the gall to suggest that everyone using their devices just buy a newer one really pisses me off. Consider that if you want to avoid being soaked on monthly fees as well as having all of your data stolen by the companies that run cloud services that you setup your own cloud server using a NAS that you might not have the money to just go out and buy something new or even if you do, you might not wish to waste the money. I hope a class action lawsuit is spurred from this and they lose a LOT. If they open sourced the firmware and allowed people to fix it and reset it, then that would at the very least be A solution, but they did the second worst thing they could do.
