  1.  @9SMTM6  In software? If you're on an x86 processor just use BCD. If you want access from C, I'm sure there are compiler intrinsics for them and if not, they'd be easy enough to implement.

  2. Obviously the answer is to just use GMP. Precise to the last bit of your RAM, if need be, and more if you have virtual/swap space.
