  1. My favorite seed for rand() is 42. When you use that seed it returns a string that says "The answer to life, the universe and everything".

  3. If you want cryptographic security, true. However, it can be used for testing and demonstration purposes as well as just for fun.

  4.  @LogicEu  Yeah, but you should really use a custom PRNG if you want that kind of consistency, which I believe MineCraft does.
