@nogo7277 Your grammar could use some work. Are you trying to say that guns aren't common and people don't die from being mugged? Because if that's what you're saying, I don't believe you.

@nogo7277 Ah okay, so it's lying then. No one is going to give their money to a mugger without a weapon unless they're really dumb, and a mugger with a weapon while their victims are defenseless is just going to result in more deaths of the victims while the mugger gets away with it.

@nogo7277 When you account for violent deaths in general, you're absolutely wrong. You're looking at the guns as unique and the qualifying part of the stat when it's violence that is the qualifier. If you're murdered, are you going to care whether it was with a knife or a gun. No, you aren't, and it doesn't matter. To equate things the way you are is misleading at best, evil at worst. Violence is violence.

@nogo7277 I can't provide links on YT, but what you're talking about is misleading with stats. Homicides are being counted falsely because they label any death with a gun a homicide, but that word has a very specific definition, and two thirds of gun related deaths are in fact suicide, and a portion of the remainder are from self defense and not homicide.

@chestnut4860 Everything? I don't think he's saying that at all, but something that's a valuable relic should definitely be kept, especially for historical reasons. And if not by the family, a museum could take it.

@chestnut4860 It's not about preventing the government from taking the guns you use on a regular basis or that you might have to use to protect yourself from an enemy foreign or domestic, but rather about preserving a piece of history.

@granudisimo I'm not sure why you're directing that at me. Have I said something which in any way makes you think that I blame inanimate objects for anything as opposed to society itself? And if you think socialism is just people socializing, then you have the wrong definition for that word.
