  1. Oh yeah, tech literacy is a huge problem these days, even amongst my fellow techies it can be. People declaring that ChatGPT is AI forgetting that the I means intelligence, being a prime example of such. You're right that people are willfully ignorant now because 60 years is definitely enough, if you ask me, and computers haven't really changed that much in the past two decades. Yeah, faster, more RAM, more storage, blah blah, but basically the same as they were 20 years ago. Most of us even still use x86-based computers and for those that only know crappy ARM devices they generally have no clue how that computer in their pocket actually works and they don't care. Apple's "what is a computer" ad tells you all you need to know about modern humans.
